PM Red99Xtreme or REMillers; Red99Xtreme's girlfriend is a serious Pontiac enthusiast. I think she has owned and tuned several Fieros, so I would suggest speaking with her through either Rob(REMillers) or her man(Red99Xtreme). Good luck!:D

I think GM killed the Fiero right before they got it right. The '88 GT-V6 was almost a nice little car.

That's about right, Egg! After that...well; everyone knows what followed - pure crap! Pontiacs,,nevermind....

those are the ones they make lamborghini and ferrari total body conversion kits for

Don't get a first year Fiero (Fireball). These cars were prone to catching on fire, but GM corrected the problem in subsequent years. Personally I would never own one because I am not crazy about them. Not to mention GM never got all of the issues worked out completely with the car. They are sort of like a poor man's Ferrari.

If you are into modding a Fiero check this site out.

You can tuck a V8 under the hood and get some pretty cool body kits.

Here it is. The FIAT X1/9.

Pontiac only dreamed of creating a halfway decent handling motorcar. This FIAT had incredible handling. I drove several back in the 70s. Low on power, but awesome handling. About $6,000.00 new in 1976. Really a blast to drive. Back then; if you were concerned about the 1/4 mile, you bought American muscle. Compared to this car, beyond a straight line, those American muscle cars were dull and boring. In the mountains, and the desert, these were the ultimate bang for the buck. A mid-engine mini exotic. Simply put.

A friend of mine used to have a 79 Fiat 124. It was a pretty sweet handling car...but low on power. Fiat never really made it though. FIAT = Failed Italian Attempt at Transportation or Fix It Again Tony! lol

A friend of mine had a Triumph TR7 with a rag top for the sunroof. It sucked when it rained. He would put on the brakes and the water on the top would flow to the front and splash your knees  I know it's not a Fiat though. As far as Pontiac, the worse car I ever owned was an 89 Pontiac Grand Am 4 times a year (every quarter), I would sink a few to several hundred dollars in repairs. I didn't rag it out either:confused: I ended up trading it because the engine mounts were cracked, the AC went out, and it was just a piece of s--t. It had a lot of zing to it for a 4 cylinder, just too many problems both minor and major. Made me shakey on Pontiacs since. Just my opinion though for what it is worth.

Ha! Yeah! I know. I had a 1976 Fiat 124 Spider. It was tooo much fun in Arizona!! I mean: WOW!! But yes; if you hung onto them for very long, the maintenance would get ya!! Same with the British sports cars of the time. Except; the Italian cars handled a hell of a lot better!

I can identify with Mr.T. In high school, I had a 86 Sunbird Turbo that was in the shop more that it was on the road. However, when working, that little thing was quite a blast. 150 HP 1.8 (the stock 1.8 had a whopping 87 HP) so I wonder why it was so unstable!! People here keep ragging on GM for not joining the sport compact arena; the truth is, they did it before Mazda ever did - they just didn't do a very good job. Probably why they're so slow to return.
