POLL: What's your avg MPG for your Mp5?

24~26 mpg when I had my MP5. I did have both intake and exhaust cams!

on my last trip i got 43 MPG. i was amazed!!! in the city i usually get 29-33mpg and thats with some tromping on the gas, i love the gas milage of this car way better then my jetta i had before this car

43 miles per gallon? Yowza!

I would like to get 33mpg on interstate, let alone city driving. Do you have a manual? Do you burn high octane? Do you need a calculator? (j/k)

My overall average since I go the car in August is 27.55 MPG (10.25L/100KM).

I have done over 20.000 km on the car so far, and I am sure it will get better as time goes on, or if I let up on the gas, this car is too fun to drive..

I have hit a high of 36.9 MPG, and a low of 24 MPG.

It's also cold now, so gas millage is gone to hell..

I averaged 28.7 in the few weeks of warm weather and 25.8 in the cold, so it's all variable upon the situation..

Just drive and enjoy, the little extra you pay for happiness is more important than what it costs..

My mileage would be higher than 27mpg, but I'm pretty agressive in city driving....gotta love that low gearing for scooting through traffic!!

Avg MPG 36

I only have 4000km on my MP5! And AVG consistantly 36MPG on the highway! Use regular gasoline with 87 octane! Sometimes put in premium at 92 octane, but get same MPG!(canada)
ANYONE NOTICE THAT MOST POST FROM CANADIAN MP5 OWNERS AVG 36MPG ON HIGWAY!!

32mpg, on average. Mostly highway miles. I accelerate pretty hard, too. But I've also been using 89 octane since I put the header on my car, which seems to help things out a bit.

I get around 24MPG even on the Highway... Which is crap!!! I miss my Celica's mpg though, around 35 or so..

Yeah, average gas mileage on my P5 is pretty good (about 25mpg), but highway is a little disappointing. Hell, I could get 30mpg highway in my Z28. However, the average for that car was 15mpg. Still not too shabby for a relatively heavy car with 340HP. But the mileage doesn't bother me as much as the engine speed on the highway. This is my biggest complaint about the car. It really needs a 6th gear.
