Usability

I'm a CS major and have studied the ins and outs of usability, I find this site very usable. However, the reason why people are rejecting the change is because it is new. Wait 3 month, then give a poll, i'll bet u peopole will like it more.

I dont notice anything different in usability compared to before other than not seeing the "top ten" on the right anymore.

I think the changes are okay, just why did they do them? There wasn't really much need for them, but I'll get used to them real quick.

I think there is too much wasted space. I hate webpages that don't maximize usage of the browser window. I have to scroll down half a window just to read the first post, and then each post seems to take up more space than it used to...and that isn't taking into account the people with signatures longer than a 4 paragraph post.

We're here for the content, not the design.

Then tell people to take out sigs or remove sigs from your options/usercp menu. I didn't like it at first but now that some of the rough edges have been cleaned it's getting better and better. I like it.

I think the forum is much better now. Its much more organized and easier to read with the names and avatars on the right side.

the names above the avatars are still too large, and it makes that area larger then it needs to be resulting in more wasted space.

Much better having it back on the right side though. Are some sigs with pics all of a sudden bigger? or is there more space around them or something?

Pretty happy after the moving of avatars and home page changes. I'd say it's still a bit wasteful of space and I do not always have a hi-res screen ... bit like Windows XP. Not a huge problem, though.

Where's the link/button to mark all posts as read, though?

i liked the simply style we had. i agree there is so much wasted space now, navigation sucks.. i really miss the latest threads we had, that home page just isn't cutting it.. and i'm already tired of seeing enry's bulletins over and over each time..

plus, i find myself browsing less and definately posting less..

It's shaping up. I still think the text in the avatar section for your name is wayy too big. Cheezy almost. And there's too much space wasted underneath each sig before you get to the next post.
