Back in the day, sub-forums were hidden from the main forum index page (http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/index.php)...When Mazda Forums started to develop and grow, I set the sub-forums to show on the main forum index page.

Fast forward to present times and you'll notice that we have dozens and dozens of sub-forums that until just a moment ago...Were all displayed on the main forum index page.

I just hid them from view, they still exist but are only visible once you click on (enter) a main forum from the main forum index page. As a result, the main forum index page is now quite a bit shorter and cleaner than before...

Please vote and let me know whether you prefer to have the sub-forums listed or not. Thank you!

PS...Let's keep this thread ON TOPIC!

The problem i have with this is i surf from my phone so he faster i can get around the better. Also when moderating my sections from UserCP i can see what new subforums have been posted in, with this turned off i cant see the subforums from the UserCP (this is the biggest reason i said no) If you can turn off subforums on the main page but leave them for the usercp it would be better.

Antoine, if you just a put a title to the sub-forums and NO description, then they look a lot cleaner shown on the main page...

This idea gets my vote. I like being able to SEE the 'sub-subforums' (such as the MSP Appearance 'sub-subforum' versus the main MSP 'subforum'), because then I can just click right into the specific area I want. But in order to give the main forum index page a cleaner look -- getting rid of those descriptions of the 'main subforums' would probably help a lot!

I dont like how I cant click on PA/DE/NJ anymore, I ahve to go though steps, which makes more clicking and longer to get there.

Sub forums make it much easier for the state forums. Also agree it makes it easier when mobile surfing, you can click the specific forum you want.

I NEED to see the subforums, it lets me know which ones have new posts on them and it's just something I'm used to seeing.. it takes me a while to get used to changes, but I would definitely prefer to see the subforums. I was actually searching through my User CP trying to figure out how to get them back.

Ok, after not having easy paths to the state sub forums, I'm not a happy camper with this. I think it works for the main forums, but the regional sections should be shown.

+1

I actually like the look of the main forums but the regional stuff is killing me!

I like collapsing sub sections I never view to condense the index, but I prefered the old view of seeing if any new posts are in Virginia or Maryland without the extra click.

The look is cleaner but navigation more time consuming.
What about installing drop-downs on the main forum pages so it that it is user selectable? An open/collapse option for each section.
Would that solve the problem?

im going to be honest i didnt even notice a difference.. but i think it should be left like this.. :)

i get pissed off every time i come on this forum now cause its a pain in the ass to get to where i want to go! change it back, please.

Another vote for the old way. I prefer being able to click on the sub-forums from the main menu.
