ok so my problem started off with the car always bogging down. after countless acts on trying to find the problem,, we decided to change the temp sensor,,,,,,,,,, SOOOO we did that, after we put that it the car wouldnt start, after 5 miuntes of trying to figure it out we steped on the gas and then it would start (WIERD!!!) so i leave the shop (which is now closed due to its friday and past 6) i notice that my temperature gauge dsnt wrk any more, and at idle the car revs at 1900+ rpm, i get home to check the engine bay again and my coolant is goin nuts,,, boiling and almost over flowing,,,,

so now i reset my ecu, unpluged the temp sensor and plugged it back in, and now i come to you all for assistance,,,

your help is greatly appreciated

thank you--- plz dont mind the spelling
...next day

so i reset my ecu, and now the rpms are around 1400 they wont go any lower tho

and still the temp gauge dnst wrk and hard to start,, and still boiling coolant...

i put my old temp sensor back in,, and it wrks like it did before ( still bogging down and every thing) i realized the pin on the end of the temp sensor looks different from the new one,,, could this be due to that i got the wrong temp sensor,, maby 1 for another type of mazda??

i doubt my heads blown i just got the gasget replaced,, is there a special way to install the temp sensor ,, it looks fairly straight forward,, wen i put the other sencor in the car accelerated good and felt awesome, its just all these other problems im having,

now that i put my old temp sensor bakc in every things working,, easyer to start , temp gauge working, not over heating, rmps are normal,, but i just runs like s***

The sensor you replaced is obviously the wrong one, your car is idling high becase it thinks it needs to warm up, and the fans probably aren't coming on! . If your car is running ok, minus the bogging with the old sensor, stick with it. I doubt it is a temp sensor problem. Probably an vac, ignition, or maf sensor issue.

thres no boost leak, or vac lead, i did a smoke test,, i ran a diag 3 times and its not throwing any codes, i did an exaust back pressure test and that not problem, blew into waste gate and its ok, reset ecu - dnt do any thing exept for fuk up my clock (lol), changed spark plugs,, the old ones looked fine, cleaned maf and changed air filter and problem still exests]

ohh ya and the problem still occoures even with my unichip,, but it is taken out right now

Did you resurface the head when the gasket was done.

I believe your head was warped due to heat before the gasket was changed... and if it wasn't then... FOR SURE AS **** IT IS NOW that it's been overheated a bunch.

Did they sub contract? Dealers/Service Departments do not have the required skill or equipment to do this type of work..

It should have looked like this..

A compression test would show if it was the head, have you tried that? That sensor is the wrong one, try swapping it for the right one, it did run better with the new sensor right? Except for the fans not turning on that is.

ya it did run alot better,, just all that other stiuff was happening, like the fans starting it temp gauge and so on

I find it really odd that your fans would stop working when you replaced the temp sensor.. I would just double check the part number, if the part number matches up, see if you can get them to send you another sensor. The new one could have been a manufacturers defect, murphy's law, right?

You develop both propblems and bonuses to having each sensor in place, where the old sensor runs like junk, but the fans and such work. The new sensor has the car working great, but the fans and such are not working with that new sensor. Logicaly, if you replace the temp sensor and the fans worked before the installation of the new sensor, the fans should work after the installation of the new sensor. Unless of course there is an issue with the new sensor, like what i think may have happened.

yaa.. i guess ill order another 1 monday and try it out,,, it also helped my vac a little to it would run at about 18.5 - 19,,, i was reading my vac wrong this whole time ( i do feel stupid) my cars actual vac reading says its 14-15 and the odd time 15.5-16, i dont think its a vac leak due to that i changed all my vac lines AND we did a smoke test on it

BTW thanks for all the feed back

I agree that it's possible that the timing is off, but I don't think this person can do it (No Offense) He will have to take it to a mechanic.

Those SW gauges seem to read around 18 on the MSP's on here for those that run them. 20-22 seems to be the average on an MSP in top running shape on other gauges.

This was a Mazda dealership that delivered your car to you in this condition? Sounds like this is going to turn into the type of comeback that mechanics hate. Especially the one that worked on it.

Hope it works out for you it does not turn out to be costly.
