Plz help!!!!

I have had my 2001 Mazda 626 for 8 years now and here recently I have had to start the up-keep of any 9 year old car. I am now in desperate need of a new intake manifold for it. If anyone could direct me in the right direction to purchase one, that would be awesome.

Do you have a 4 cylinder or V6 model?

Why do you need a new intake manifold? You should be able to use one from a 98-02 model 626 and possibly one from a Protege as well.

98-99 manifolds are different than the 00-02... the 00 is also different in a small way than the 01-02 (unless the 00 is cali emissions)

Im thinking there is a hole in mine. I had a picece of 0 guage cable running along the firewall and it somehow got the sheathing melted off of it and it shorted out against the intake manifold (I think). I still need to take it off and look. I was just wanting to know if anyone had one just in case i did need one lol. The cable actually caught on fire on the side of the road. It sucked.

Ok, so I finally got time to check it out and I took the intake and throttle body off. When i did, I found what had the hole in it. Im pretty sure its part of the EGR system. Its a pipe running from the header to the intake manifold. When the cable shorted out, it welded that pipe in half. I took that pipe off and got the wire that was welded to it off, but I dont kow how to fix it

Is there any place I could just buy a new one....or someone on here? Any info will help.
