please tell me the 03 turbo protege motor is built for boost in some way!!

i just bought one of these things and am starting to think it just a stock mp3 motor with a garrett t25 on it. please tell me it ha lower compression, stronger rods, oil squiters or somthing. are they week motors?? please help thanks.

Yup, same engine, but it can handle the power. A lot of turboed cars out there are just a reliable block with a "turbo kit" thrown on.

so how are the bottom ends on these cars? whats the engine code? what kinda power are people getting out of these engines and still keeping reliabilty?

Engine code is FS-DE detonation with the MSP shouldn't be a problem since the ECU is programmed for turbo. With a Spool stage 3 system you can get 198 whp with 6.5 psi as for the itty bitty T25 on the MSP no one really knows they dynoed a dissapointing 138 whp i think so there is much room for improvement,. Acording to Mazdaspeed the stock rods buckle at 225whp but that level has been reached and sustained with no problems. SO the limits of this motor on a turbo is still not yet known. The Cranks are known to be good for 400 hp from the FS-DE's that were in the Ford probes. As for the rods no one really knows that one. They are a solid motor though. But they are right if your gonna buy a car reasearch it before you but it man...
