Please help....Mobile video....

Yeah, true that!
Some monitors can only operate if the emergency brake is engaged..... (Professional install).......Im not stupid enough to drive and use it at the same time........unless I have passengers in the car, that's whay i need headrest monitors.

YEA I PLAN ON IT..I WILL PROB ORDER IT FRIDAY SINCE MY NEXT CHECK WILL BE AFTER CHRISTMAS AND I DONT HAVE TO DEAL WITH THAT ANYMORE...ONE THING ABOUT A TV LIKE THAT THOUGH....DONT GET CAUGHT DRIVING WITH IT ON UNLESS ITS SOMEWHERE YOU CANT SEE IT..WE GET A CARELESS AND IMPRUDENT CHARGE HERE...BIG TIME FINE.

Everyone would, its illegal everywhere. Some monitors work with just th epositive parking break trigger which is real easy to do with a switch. Some need a negative for the brake then a positive for the parking then a release of the negative.

I might have my polarities screwed up. This is only for monitors in the drivers view though, rear monitors can be on all the time.

yea i heard the more popular ones need you to first hit the brake..then the e-brake, then take you foot off of the regular brake before it will even turn on..I dont know how acurate that is though..just what i heard

what about in dash navigation? That can be on while driving cant it? So then couldnt you have your movie on and when you get pulled over push the nav button and play dumb?

The problem is if the cop sees the movie on. Otherwise all you have to do it hit tuner since all the monitors radio functions which are just big ass display can be on. Only the video inputs have safety switched that had to be wired to the brake.

hey guys,
i was also interested in the quality of this lcd....also. . this may sound dumb but i was wondering if anyone thought of mounting this lcd under the HU and upside down so it would not be covering the A/C vents. . .maybe something to flip the screen over or something. . .i dunno just an idea. . . .

sure do - I just need to get a chance to post them - I'll post them soon - I have just been crazy busy w/ the holidays and my B-day was on Sat to BOOT!

hey guys should i get the sony overhead 7" widescreen? or 7" in dash? im wondering if anyone has mounted an overhead monitor (roofmount). would it look decent or should i just get in dash?

This package looks sweet as hell...$389 for a HU and Screen!?

This HU is from the same company and looks much better, to me... http://mp3playerstore.com/stuff_you_need/dvd/mp-9.htm

They don't mention power output, I'm sure thats where it lacks...but it has to be at least what the stock HU is.

For those of you who have gotten the 7" LCD, what HU are you currently using? (sorry I dont understand 808, etc...)

Also, would this screen work with something like a pioneer HU ?
I'm not sure which model I was looking at, under $300, and oviously, no DVD capability.

Guys - I am sorry for not posting pics....but I bought a jeep for the winter and I have my car stored 45 miles away - i do have it and it works real good - I will try to get down there as soon as possible and take some pics for you.......promise....

In the meantime does anyone have any question about it?

I was going to due same thing as you did, buy 7in lcd and hook up ps2!!!
how was the installation? is it easy even ppl with no experience installing car audio?

Yeah, as long as you can do minor wiring it is no problem - I opted to wire every thing to the acc/12v switch this way the equipment comes on with the key switch.....and everything stays clean-cut........I by no means am I a professional, but I installed my subs, amp, monitor, ps2 etc... by myself.
