Please help!!! Bose system and Sirius problems

I just bought my Mazda 3 about 2 months ago and I've been having problems with both the Bose speakers and my Sirius radio. First of all, the speakers in the back door have this popping sound. I took it to a dealership in Arlington, VA and they replaced the speakers. Even with the new speakers I was still hearing this sound so I took it back and the service manager said that it was just feedback and there was nothing they could do. Has anyone else encountered this problem? I wouldn't have paid for the upgraded system if I was going to have to listen to a popping sound all the time.

The performance of the Sirius radio has gradually been declining since I bought the car. The first couple of week the radio worked fine a little interruption here and there but no biggie. Then slowly over the past 4 weeks the reception has gotten terrible. At first it was displaying "ACQUIRING" and I was getting spotty signal. Then it started alternating between "ACQUIRING" and "UPDATING" with the occasional signal coming through. Now, pretty much all I have is the "ACQUIRING" message on my display. I've talked to Sirius they said it's nothing they can do. I've talked to a Mazda dealership and they are taking their sweet time getting back to me. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is anyone experiencing this now? I live in the VA surburbs right outside of DC.

It sounds like something is wrong with the amp, poor grounding something, take it somewhere else, and mention the speakers were already replaced, so they don't replace the speakers again.

try another mazda dealership... and see if the SSP69 recall applies to your car

Check the Sirius antenna connections. You didn't say if you have a 4 or 5 door. On the 5 door, the receiver is behind the panel on the right of the hatch area. You should be able to see it through the port where you get at the right tail light. The black Sirius box has two connectors, check them both. The two cables should go to a small box stuck to the top of the main box; check the connection there for the wire that goes to the antenna. On the 4 door the box is behind a panel on the left of the trunk, but I don't know about the access, it should be similar.

The other thing to check is the wire that comes from the antenna. The antenna is usually stuck to the roof with the wire running into the crack between the hatch/trunk lid and the body. Check that the wire hasn't been worn from opening and closing.
