Plastic cover underneath the engine fell off

Mines been off for ever.... no over heating... no problems what so ever.

and you live in FL. Same with me, i lost the pan after it got banged up when my car was lowered. Ive been fine in city driving w/o it. Eng temps always 190-220

All I can say is I had my cover off last night and it was nice and clean up under the front of the car. There are electrical parts (including a Bosch/FoMoCo cooling fan) all over the place. I wouldn't want them unprotected from rain. It may not cause problems short-term, but long-term I'd expect electrical connection issues.

Damn, I did not expect you guys would have a lot discussions on this. I have not got time to visit the stealership yet. Just called them today and was told it's $188. Plastic expansion anchor is $1.5 each. Really expensive plastics!

By the way, the heat shield material above the exhaust pipe was also beaten pretty badly. I guess it's not gonna last long either. These things are pretty vulnerable under there!
