Just figured I'd create an MS3 specific thread where we can talk about what we plan to do with our cars. This can include future mod ideas and discussion. If you are planning on filling it with gas and driving it back and forth to the grocery store, great! I want to hear it! Plan on going built motor, with a GT35 at 25 PSI, great! I want to hear it! Just keep us updated on your build ideas and what you want to do with the car. This is a great thread to toss around questions and random ideas as to minimize chatter in the "what have you done to your MS3 today?" thread. I, along with many others, have so many changing plans and ideas that I am constantly daydreaming about for my car. So feel free to share whatever you have in store for your car in the next coming days, months or even years.

Install Stoptech Sloted rotors, Hotchicks RSB, HKS BOV/recirt, Tein S-Tech Springs, All just chillin in my room at this moment, Installed Cobb inlet sunday, broke Boost control Silinoid while at it, Electrical tape is holding the vaccum line in right now lol. All working fine, got a new Silinoid coming in monday
 
For the future: Hks Cbe, Cobb Ap, Bc coilovers, cp-e Fmic.

im saving so i can buy all at once hopefully!!
 
Near Future: Install GV replica lip from Nextmod. Painted Cosmic Blue. Ordered it a week ago, just waiting for it to get here.

Within 8 months(hopefully): Upgraded InterCooler. Still debating on the SU TMIC or PG's FMIC. Upgrade the suspension in some way, thinking BC's are my best bet for an even drop. Get a custom tune, most likely by surgeline with their e-mail plan.

Regarding the BC's. I've read plenty of threads that talk about the drop, but what about ride quality compared to stock? if H&R's are still selling for $1100 on that website we don't talk about, do they give a better ride then the BC's?
 
Unfortunately, I'm planning to sell mine again so I can get into a cheaper car, yet still fun (Mazdaspeed Miata or S2K). The MS3 is too nice of a car for me to just go to work and back. And since it's just me, I don't need all the space. Wife has a Protege for when we need to haul a little more stuff and for road trips. And between my friend and brother, they have a Tacoma and CR-V if more space is needed.

Looking to put at least $5K-$6K in the bank after all is said and done hopefully. Will be parting out with all my mods soon...:(

Planning on installing the HIDs in the fogs soon.

Also need to find a good suspension set up. I can't really do coilovers because of the roads here. Going to have to find something to absorb the bumps a little better. This is the only thing I have a problem with the car. If the CX-7 suspension bolted up I would do it.
 
only mod plans left are get Stance coilovers and then drive the car into the ground.
 
wish list includes the rest of the mazdaspeed stuff (suspension, cbe, either ms6 or the lightweight ms wheels), and maybe a TIP

already got the updated mscai

just installed the gv front lip and eylids, new RA flaps for the new look, bolt up my freshly painted wheels when their ready, and repaint my calipers to match the new look..and then shes finished.
 
I just ordered A set of Koni Sports to compliment my Vogtland springs. The CP-E RMM is here to be installed and to complete the package, I will be ordering a Tri-Point Engineering RSB. An ETS or SU TMIC will be the final mod. All will be done within the next 2 months, hopefully.:cool:
 
Right now im working on...
-Tires and wheels... 235/40/18 star specs, and Im thinking of getting the Rota Tarmac3s. Or go the cheaper route and get TRmotorsport C2s
-Coilovers, H&Rs or MS... leaning toward H&R right now.

always thinking about what I can do next to the engine... IC upgrade, PG mani... maybe even go with some new rods & pistons and push past the 300hp mark.

used turbo in the mail...as soon as i get it im shipping right to ken at PG for a makeover. this weekend ill be installing PTP fuel pump internals...long term is a forged motor and larger turbo for sure with PG externally wastegated manifold dump to atmosphere. other than that i just need some suspension to keep everything on the ground. money is of course is the monkey on my back lol but ive been pretty good about dodging him as of late(ughdance)
 
Alright, I'm ditching the Balance Shaft Delete idea untill after the powertrain warranty is up or voided. Just too much risk if anything were to happen.
