2010 Chevy Camaro
Hey everyone! Trading in my 5thGen Camaro for a 2015 Mazda3 i touring auto hatch w/tech sometime in the next week. Have been a member of a great camaro forum for the past few years, and hopefully you guys will prove equally valuable and awesome!

Wanted to get some insight from Mazda gurus on how much I should be looking to spend. Haven't started negotiating yet, but the dealer has me out the door at 22,9xx.

Below is the breakdown they provided me in an email:

MSRP $23,640
Invoice $22,485

SALE PRICE $21,885 ($600 below invoive)
- 750 (If you finance with Mazda at their standard rate)
------------------------------------
Price - $21,135 plus tax(6%), tags($278), and $299 processsing fee

Is it reasonable to ask to be out the door at the 21,135 they start me at, or can I go even lower? I know there is a lot more that goes into a car sale, but for the sake of this discussion, let's just focus on price OTD.

Thanks!

...and I just noticed that there is a sticky touching this exact subject above  thoughts still appreciated!

I leased mine, zero otd, $275 a month for itouring hatch 2.o 6m with tech pkg and heated seats.

I see that Mazda is offering 0% financing. Combine that with the deal you listed and I think you can't go wrong, financially. However, I have to wonder why you won't get the "S" version after owning a Camaro. I went from a C5 Corvette to my S GT and am perfectly happy. Sport mode is more than adequate (acceleration-wise), almost all of the time and handling with Eibach springs matches the Corvette handling, easily.

The gameplan was to significantly lower payments. The i has shown sufficient pep in some "enthusiastic" test drives, so if I'm satisfied, then no reason to spend more. Also, the Camaro is getting a full redesign for 2016, so I'll be interested in paying off this quickly, keeping it; and getting a new Camaro in the future to fulfill that HP craving.

In addition to the financing, they are also doing no payment for 90 days. THAT is huge for me, especially w my current car payment due a few days after xmas.

That makes sense, although living in a big city with a super-powerful car is like being a wild animal in a cage. Corvette guys have to drive many miles out of town (weekends), just to stretch their cars' legs, so to speak. 99.5% of the time, having extra power would do me no good, get me into trouble, or both! Still, I miss the feeling of superiority.....
