ok so i am lookin into buyin some springs by the weekend..... im lookin at eibach, teins, and the progress.... what do you guys think are the best? thanks!

i have had the eibach's and teins. I loved them both. I think it is just a prefferance of taste.

definately more options with teins, but both companies do extensive research before putting product on market so you really can't lose with either. I'm putting eibach sportlines on my ride!

If you go Eibach, I would only go Pro-kit NOT Sportline. Sportlines after they settle will make the car way to low. Our MS3 is pretty low already if you get underneath and look. Tein, I've never purchased because I have heard they are only for those who like really stiff springs. Progress, we'll I only did business with them once. It was when they first opened up and they sent me two wrong sets of springs and I chose to go elsewhere. That was ten years ago so... I wound up going with a set of Intrax springs that I really liked. If you want a softer spring Intrax might be what you want.

What you need to decide is, are you looking for a particular ride height, better handling, stiffer or as close to OEM as possible, a combination of choices etc. and then make your choice.

Have you ever ridden on Sportlines? I've had a few sets and they ride extremely nice with some aftermarket struts and shocks, but I will tell you they always settle allot lower than what they are advertised at. On our MS3 you may run into trouble after they settle; rubbing and bottoming out would be my number one concern. Our cars are allot lower than they look.

ya i was lookin more towards the eibach pro kit... i dont want to drop it too low, due to the fact of all the damn pot holes in columbus and more so in cleveland......... thanks for the info on the sportlines though.....as for stiffness, i dont mind feelin the road underneath me... thanks guys!

Great! If you stay with the Eibach Pro-Kit you should be fine. If our cars where not as low as they are already, I would say Sportline for sure but... In case you didn't know, Eibach makes the springs for NASCAR.

-Tein, I can't say anything about because I've never owned any
-Neuspeed ride way to stiff
-Intrax are really nice if you want the low look but softer OEM type ride
-Eibach are great just be prepared to be at least 3/4 - 1" lower with Sportlines then they advertise
-Progress, never owned. I tried but...
-Ground Control Coilover inserts are awesome and they use Eibach Springs
-Cobb Tuning, a little pricey but fantastic ride
-H&R, great spring and nice ride if you go with the sport spring. The race type seem to be way to stiff for the street
-Tokico Springs, way to stiff. More like a race spring

These are just my opinions and of course if you want coilovers we'll thats a completely different discussion. If your considering the Eibach Pro-Kit or at least the drop it provides also look at the Mazdaspeed Spring Kit. So far the feedback on the Mazdaspeed kit is just what the doctor ordered for a street set up.

Hey mtbikerfox115, definitely shop around. For a Pro-kit, I would expect a range of $185 - $250 shipped. Was the $319 installed? Just a guess. I personally have not started shopping for springs so I cannot recommend any certain place. I have no doubts Tire Rack has them.

the 319 is how much they wanted just for the springs... they wanted 620 to install them.. but ive been to a lotta places, and tire rack has the best price... 205 shipped! *note to self* tirediscounters = tire ripperoffers

WOW! $620 to install is robbery! $205 shipped from Tire Rack is great! Once you install them be sure to post some pictures. You just may be the first with the Pro-Kit.

I do want to drop the Speed, but sadly I have to wait to see what Mazda is going to do with my ride. I have been looking at what is avaliable. I dont see any springs SPECIFICLY for the SPEED 3. Will the lower springs for the regular 3 fit the Speed 3?

check out roadmagnet . com, I have their springs on my ms3 and theyre awesome (it is my car you will see on their website). Mazda also has a set out, swampass just put them on his car

i'm going with tien http://www.tein.com/stech.html can't beat that price..
and i've delt with tien in the past.. coilovers suck... springs are nice..

then tend to drop the front excessivly.. 2.0 inches i would be more comfortable with a 1.5 drop in the front since i live in nyc!

ya thats why i went with the eibach pro kit... it drops 1.4 in the front and 1.2 in the back... i am from the east side of cleveland *snow belt* and there is always a hella lot of snow, so hopefully there wont be as much snow build up in the wheel wells next winter

thats awesome... but the teins drop it down like 2 in the front and maybe 1. 6 or so in the back i want to have a lil clearance because of the possible snow build up, you know what im sayin! theres lots of snow up there in ctown.... and the roads suck ass! but i just got my springs in the mail today, so next month when i go home i will post some pics.... and i just have the regular ol 3, but once i get the money... she's goin turbo
