i was running 8psi when it happened..

i have never ran over 9.5psi...

i think something went wrong with the fuel injector b/c that is severe detonation.. all the piston pieces were not larger than 1/8 inch diameter beads..

i think it may have been partly b/c of oil starvation b/c i was coming out of a long sweeper... i was at about 4k rpm when it happened

they just put the 12psi for laughs...

they went crazy with thepaint pens..

the new engine is running great though.. i have basically a brand new car now..

7500 miles or less on every drivetrain component..

damn, THAT is bad. is that part of the piston melted to the valves?!?! good luck with the new motor.

on the valves are gouged metal from the explosion...

i already have my new engine in and running well...

Sucks the engine popped. But, sounds like the install went fast.

So you keeping the turbo kit on it?

Also which ECU? Which disc in the vortech FMU? Stock fuel pump? What octane?

sorry for all the ?'s just to help prevent it from happening to others.

i saw it first hand and that was some crazy s*** guys. The whole ******* piston exploded into little bits. Absolutely insane. It would seem as if his fuel injectors were spitting gunpowder instead of fuel.

the turbo kit is back in the car...

im using the p5 ecu, 10:1 fmu , stock fuel pump , 94 oct

i didnt have a spare engine laying around... one of my good friends drove with me to ohio to pick up a new one. off a 2002 p5 ... i got a damn good deal on it too... its like it was meant for me to buy it...
