Pike This Weekend??

hartford to Worcester takes about 45+/- minutes (beware of state troopers), and IIRC, boston adds another 30-40 mins, so 1.5 hours on the highway.

the Turnpike is 2 minutes south of Hartford. Hope that helps.

The few times I actually went to the Pike it really wasn't all that great, It seems to be the same cars over and over again, cops coming at the same time, at the same places. And all the stupid little people wanting to race their stock civic thats lowered too much for its own good.

Damn, I wish I had a good experience for one of the nights I was there, I probably just pick the bad nights =P. Maybe one of the weekends I head home I'll head there, and possibly see some Mazda love besides the local FD3S's

I frequent the pike almost every weekend in the summer and I think ya might have picked the wrong nights. When the weather is nice the whole pike is just packed with nice cars along with alot of ricers. I basically go to laugh at rice cause I'll see some kid roll up in a cavaqueer on steel wheels with a big APC banner. There is also the Naturally Aspirated Dodge Neon crew. They have lambo doors and one of them has pink sparkle paint.. (ugh). However there are also some creative cars that are legit. There used to be a group of old school japanese hatchbacks and some of them had pink paint (suzuki swift) but it was boosted and crazy fast. As long as the weather is nice and warm the pike is packed. Last week had so many cars it was crazy.

The price of gas too much, but i'll bring the tib... these are the times I wish I had a 2003+ I4 tib... even though they are as slow as a turtle.

At least your new tib doesn't need premium like your old one though. Does the newer 4-cyl need premium still?

for more than 3 ppl you should set it up a month or so in advance...this was a last minute thing so 3-5 ppl sonuds about right for us hehehe

Wouldn't be the first 3-5 person mini NEPOC Pike meet. Last time I think Kyle and I were the only Proteges there haha.

Yea, whenever my friends head up there, it seems like a good time, just whenever I make it, it doesn't work out so well. And I know what cars you're talking about with the Pink paint. One of them was a 1991 240sx Coupe with a silvia front end on it, SR20DET like almost every other 240 out there. then there was an older civic hatch thats pink, and a newer(i dont know years, i think 94?) 2 door civic thats pink. There was a mirage, but that got totalled. Alot of kids from my town head up there often, just i never get the chance to go, especially now that im in MA, next summer will be a different story though(peep)
