Actually you should leave the smic in place unless you plan on blocking the area that the smic was in....by removing the smic, the air that would have normally passed through radiator now, takes the road of least resistance, and goes through the open area instead. Thus causing increased operating temps on the motor...increased strain. All in all nice ride though!!
WTF Rich, you got the air diversion panel to work with the CF grill? .. Mine wouldn't. Then again, I think it's cause my bumper is still pulled out of shape from the hot side FMIC piping.I just got the same two goodies last week, and got them all finished up and installed. As most of you know, the parts are bare unfinished aluminum, and I took some extra time to get them all nice and presentable. I polished and then brushed them both, and then added some rubber inserts for the dead pedal slots and stuck a couple logos on there. The vinyl for the diversion panel should be here next week.
Rich, always gotta bust out the crazy s***.
I understand what your saying, I was actually planning on getting a P5 radiator over the summer when I'm working.
how did u get the air diversion to look so clean?

I know, I know -- I could fix it. But I'll just complain about it instead.
Looks great!
