Pics of my Skyline...

:
2003.5 Mazdaspeed Protege
HI all,

I have finally been able to get some worthy pics of my car over here, so i figure i will share them with you guys. Tell me what you think, and if you are ever in the far east, PM me and we can take her out. Im bored stiff here...

The skinny: its a 98 skyline GT-R r33 T/T (non-v-spec version).
Mods:
-Twin T4 rebuilt turbos, pushing 20psi (25 at the track)
-HKS intercooler and oil/turbo piping
-HKS turbo timer
-EVC electronic boost controller
-Custom 3" stainless exhaust, no cat
-SP type H muffler
-Powerflow intakes
-HKS BOV's
-Brembo package all around
-Nismo front and rear sway bars

All in all, it lays down about 550 at 20psi and well, too much at any higher.
I've had it for about 8 months now and cannot imagine any more engine upgrades for performance. Every time i drive it i think i am going to die.

Haha, thanks man. All i need to do is figure out how to import it to america.

By the way, i was thinking of painting it black, but what do you guys think?

I say leave it red, especially if that is the original paint

black is a pain in the ass to maintain

tried calling motorex but they wont import the car unless i take the aftermarket stuff off. The ONLY way they can import is if it is completely stock, and even then they need to do some emissions modifications to get it in.

The problem is that it has no US vin, is Right hand drive(can be overcome but is a b**** of a lot of paperwork), is not even close to US street legal (noise, emissions, tire specs, etc etc...) At this point i dont care if it is just a track car, but i would ideally like to find a loophole and register it someday.

it might take forever, but what about strip it done. that what my uncle use to do importing exporting big trucks(trailors-from sweden to brazil). to save money on taxes and stuff or if it wasnt allowed he'd just strip it down and send it by parts
im sure a shell would be allowed then a motor and so on and so on. would be a huge hassle though

I don't get it. That car has a Hong Kong licence plate, but your location is New Hampshire?

Great googly-moogly, that car has great lines. I don't think I've ever seen one photographed in profile. Damn good looking car.

Good for you.

I work for a multinational company. I am in hong kong right now as we speak, but my primary res. is in NH. all in all, i spend about 6 months in HK and 6 months at home/abroad. This will soon change though as i am going to be stateside ALOT more often.

sorry for the confusion

why cant you take the mods off and bring it back to stock, then put them back on when you get it to the states?

Ah! That makes more sense.
I would say put them back to stock, then have motorex import them here. Then, ship all the mods from HK to here and put them back on, and use the car for track or something. :P

good point, i just dont have many of the stock parts. I would need to buy stock exhaust, intake, intercooler, take all the guages out(motorex says they pay attention to everything... marketing ploy or not?), patch everything in, and ship everything over separately.

I do believe an easier way would be to take the engine out with all the mods, and ship the shell through the US and the engine through Canada. The Canadian gov't is much easier on customs clearance, and from there i can bring it through to the states with some, errr, altered paperwork.

We'll see though, im doing more research.

or rent a garage in Canadia and drive it over the border :p
