i know that if you can get dealer plates on it you don't have to make any modifications to US specs. also theirs is a company in Mexico you ship it there they will strip it down for you and ship it to the same company in Florida. this company either puts it together for you or you can do it yourself. then that legally allows you to register it as a kit car and you don't have to modify it to any US specs. Heres the link to where I found the info. http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=59326

GUYS, i cnat thank you enough for all the info. I will def. check the dealer plate thing out, as well as the other options...

seriously, thanks.

actually I just found out the quickest 1/4mile skyline is the HKS R33 at 7.671sec.
here is a records page: http://www.exvitermini.com/ click on records

guys, i REALLY apologize, but i swear this was the times i got. Obviously they are wrong and i am sorry for misleading... Last time i trust chinese stopwatches again. damn.

On another note, what should i be able to run, anyone know? I know theres a porche 944 that goes the same night as i do and he consistently clocks 6's.

My own fault for not following drag racing and times so much i guess...

what makes the owner of a 500whp Skyline R33 want to buy a MSP?? Thats like owning a 1992 Porsche 928S4 and having a Kia Spectra5 as a daily.....makes no sense.

believe it or not, i paid more for my MSP than i did for the skyline. Im dead serious...

Not to mention i have been in enough trouble with the police in america that if i were to get anything nicer, they'd make me sell my soul for insurance. at least i can register this as a straight up protege...

in light of the dilemma you face with the car having too much HP, I have a solution - I would be more than happy to take her off your hands!!! LOL!!

In Peter Griffin's words - that's frikkin' sweet!

maybe you're running the 1/8 mile. sorry but unless that porsche is a full out drag car running on methanol there is no way he is running 6's. thats almost top fuel drag times, which are around 4 sec, and they have oer 5000hp

I'm in the Kansai area...and yeah those track times are totally off but we're talking about drag racing in China?...China isn't known for it's drag racing history or 1st rate motorsport facilities...I'm sure it's just a misreading guys...don't get your undies in a bunch...;)

me- (owned)

I didnt really know... i mean i dont follow 1/4 mile times, nor do i swear by it with this car. To be honest, (hold the name calling please) i'm kinda scared of it. It has to be something with the times or the km-mi conversion...

sorry for misleading, but i was mislead too.

pretty sweet antoine. what do you do there? do you speak japanese?

I have been to tokyo for business and hokkaido for pleasure, but other than that, i got nothing. all i know is that the chinese hate the japanese and vice versa, so my chinese girlfriend doesnt like going there so much...

I have been looking into getting a skyline over here for some time now. You can import it as a race car and you will be limited to 2000 miles a year. if you are military you should be able to import the car from my knowledge with almost no problem. you might also want to try putting maxima VIN numbers on it from a junk yard

no i would rather be accurate than giving everyone false info. thanks for setting me straight. i'm not trying to brag about this, but rather was just trying to give you more info on the car. If i can ever get it to the states, im gonna do some SERIOUS road tripping, as long as i can register it.

By the way, AGAIN, the maxima idea is PURE GENIOUS. I think it'll work, er, as long as i dont get caught...

wow man. You're one lucky son of a b**** I'll tell you that :D R33 has always been my favorite skyline. If you were to re-paint it, I always thought white looked best on the R33. Black is for the R32. Blue = R34. This is just the way I've always envisioned them I guess. lol at the maxima vin idea!

Well I haven't read all 6 pages so I don't know if this was brought up but about importing it; could you ship the engine/tansmission over separately and re-install it over here, then register the car as a kit car? This is how 1gRacing imports the Noble M12.

^^lol, I didnt exactly mean translation of 1 language to another, so much as one person to another type of thing
