picking a color: undecided

I'm ready to pull the trigger on a 2016 CX-5 Grand Touring with Tech package. I'm stuck on picking a color; Soul Red, Deep Crystal Blue and Titanium Reflex. I want the Parchment leather seating and these are only 3 colors I like. Coming from a 2003 Mazda Protege5 Silver color with black cloth interior, I LOATHE entire black interiors. The parchment seating is the closest I can get to a non-black interior.

Red is sporty and flashy, difficult to match paint and shows chips
Deep Blue is nice but will show swirls and dirt more
Titanium is kinda dark and might show dirt and swirls too.

I'll be using the True Car buying service via my credit union USAA to get addition discounts and loan rate reduction.

Same dilemma here. Our 2016 CX-5 is the first new car since 2001. SkyActiv Technology is the reason we decided to get our first Mazda. But soon we were facing the same thing, the only lighter interior color is parchment and is only available with a few exterior colors. We have always been preferring silver for easy to hide the dirt. And Mazda doesn't offer any gray interior like everybody else does! We finally decided to get Sonic Silver, as "not washing the car too often" is taking precedence than dull and totally black interior and hot temperature in the cabin! Among the finalists you have, personally I'd choose Soul Red. But the finally decision still is yours or your spouse if you have one.

You should be checking out "Current selling price for CX-5?" thread to see the good prices other people had got. I saw someone in Kansas City paid $28,768 for a '16 CX-5 GT AWD w/Tech!

I was faced with a similar color dilemma but for a different reason. While I'm not fan of black interiors I don't like that even with parchment seats most of the remaining interior is black - dash, armrest, center console, most of the door, etc. I really wish they offered a medium brown in those location with the parchment seats and door insert. So in the end, I settled for black interior but couldn't decide between blue reflex and titanium flash mica. So showed my six year old daughter both colors and asked her which color she preferred and she chose blue, so that was that. I'm happy with her/my decision.

Mine is Meteor Gray and black interiors is the only option. Black leathers looks cool, I love it. The only thing is it's getting pretty hot under the sun here in LA. I'm covered parking most of the time so I don't regret and really enjoy it.

Exactly! I thought I'm the only one thinking this way! Like you, this is actually part of reason we settled for black interior! The interior color choice on Mazda really sucks! Other manufactures have "matching" color on dash, armrests, center console, door panels, and SEAT BELTS! It is not right and feels cheap by just changing the seat and a bit insert of door panels to parchment but leaving everything else still in black!

My favorite CX-5 GT combo is white with black interior. White exterior looks great with the stock GT dark wheels. My last car had a parchment-like leather interior and after about 2.5, 3 years the seat creases looked dark, giving the interior a worn out look. I think black leather car interiors are easier to maintain, and age better, better than other leather colors.

I'm 100% with you. I love the black accents on my white CX-5. Especially the darker wheels. Got the front windows tinted the same day I bought it and it looks even better.

They had the parchment interior with white exterior on the lot, but couldn't find any in the region with black interior. Had to wait 3 weeks until they found one 50 min. away. Glad I waited because it was definitely worth it.

At the dealership itself? how much would it cost extra?

No, not physically at the dealership. There's a tint shop a few blocks down the street the dealership goes through. I called 5 different places and they were the cheapest. Looks good.
