Picked up my MS6 today

Picked up my MS6 today (UPDATED w/Pics!)

Hey guys, I picked up my speed6 today and oh man it is a dream to drive...except for the filthy roads here in CT because of the snow.

Everyone in the sales office wanted to shake my hand because it was the first MS6 to leave the dealer.

This is my first time on this board but everyone seems nice from what I've read, well no more time to talk I have to go out and drive!

Congrats! What color? Sport or GT? What dealer and did he give you a break?

It's the Sport with Liquid Platinum Metallic...aka silver. I test drove the GT with all the options and to be honest I didn't want to pay extra for the Nav system and heated rearview mirrors. Plus IMO the leather seemed a little too slippery for my taste. Besides, my Pontiac Grand Prix had leather and even though it looked awesome it became more of a cleaning bother than anything else.

I'll post pics later today. The dealer did'nt really give me a great deal since I work for a United Technologies Company which is a Ford supplier in some way and I qualified for the Ford X-Plan pricing which is basically the emloyee discount. It came to around $1900 off the sticker or so. So there was no hagling with the dealer about the price of the car since they didnt seem to want to move on it anyway. They offered me diddly squat for my Grand Prix which was in beautiful condition so I told them to take a hike and I'd sell it privately.

welcome to the boards...check out the NEPOC section cause its for mainly anything mazda in the northeast. you probably have your specific 6 board but we are pretty cool crowd here, mainly protege's though but we never turn down anyone!

Looks good. Interesting floor mats. Is that what is under the cloth mats or are those different mats you picked up?

I thought about the cloth interior with my 3 kids and knew I had to go leather all the way! Seriously though, it ain't too slippery. This is the second car I have had with leather and the seats in the MS6 are by no means super slippery or anything like that. In fact I haven't had any problems sliding around while getting the car sideways...LOL!

The top floor mats are the factory all weather ones. I have them and they say "Mazda 6" Not shure if his Say "Mazdaspeed 6" or somethiong to that effect.

Ahh. I have the fabric MS6 mats with "Mazdaspeed 6" embroidered into them, but the all-weather mats would be nice. Not sure that I want to ask my dealer how much they are though...LOL!
