Photo of the Day

Here are a few of mine from the past year:

Boston's Big Dig from a pedestrian's point of view. Everytime I walk by this I think of Shell Silverstein's "Where the Sidewalk Ends".

Sam Houston Park is nestled just beneath the skyscrapers of downtown Houston. The park was originally founded in 1954 by the Heritage Society and is host to 8 historic Houston structures.

St. John's church was built in 1891 on the northwest side of Harris County by a group of German farmers. In 1968 and relocated to Sam Houston Park for preservation. The church still has its original altar-pulpit and cypress plank pews as it did when it was first built. The church sits in the shadow of the 762ft tall Texaco Heritage Plaza building which was built in 1987. Ninety six years and about 2 city blocks seperate these two structures.

thanks guys... those water falls are way overhere on the west side of houston... a mile past Katy Mills mall..

i saw reba at the rodeo. a friend of mine had a couple of extra tix so my GF and i went

i live on the west side...you think you could give me directions to get there??? those waterfalls are just really kewl...i think i'd like to check em out. you can pm me if you want. thanks.

Drive I-10 west towards katy, i think the exit is 1463 / Pin Oak , it shouldbe just pass Katy Mills Mall. once u take that exit, pass thru Pin Oak and the next intersection should be a 4 way stop. there turn left (heading South), go under I-10 and like 50 yards up you will see a brigde. i park on the shoulder just before the bridge. the waterfalls are right there, you cant miss them.

also, if u drive over the bridge, u will see the neighborhood opening on the left hand side. theres another cool water fall there...

i hope this helps... one your on 1463, you cant miss them.

Do you have the 2nd pic in extrememly high resolution (1920x1200)? Also, did you take that pic, or did someone else, and is it photoshopped or were there actual huge lights put under the waterfalls?

Thanks!
