Intakes dont hold boost. A diffrent BPV or boost controller will.

Op...I would get a TRZ MM birst, then a Forge BPV or something. That will make you happy for sure.

When I was stock my car held ~14.5psi from 3rd and up. With the Cobb SRI installed it now holds 16-16.5psi, is this really hard to comprehend? Lay off the crack pipe thanx.

Money per performance an Intake is probably the best way to go.

Unless your stock BPV is broken that aftermarket BPV isn't exactly a great deal for the money unless you're like 16yrs old and like to "blow off" like a idiot driving around everywhere because you think the sound is cool, etc.

A rear engine motor mount isn't a bad idea if you like to drag race but it does increase vibrations so beware. I had one and went back to stock not too long ago and I don't really miss it.

Wow... newsflash..stockers leak. So its worth it. And if i cared about blow-off sounds, I would have bought a madtyte JDM-yo one that i heard off of Fast n Furious. But no..i bought a Forge for performance.

A better rear mm will eliminate wheel hop and improve shifting feel. Too much stress from a rocking engine will cause damge to the other mounts. Why take a chance. And even with the TRZ poly, the vibes are minimal, ie: my e-brake button is the only thing that buzzes. Car feel means a lot to me. That means total balance.

And I dont touch drugs. Thanks for playing.

+2 trz mount is probably one of the better bang for the buck mods. not to mention the peace of mind that you're engine wont fall while driving. lets face it, stock bpv an mm are s***. along with our shifters. either way, the appearance of you're car should always be the last thing you go about when modding. unless thats just what youre into... its just too bad appearance wise theres not a WHOLE lot to be done to make our cars look much better. since to me, our cars look great stock. other than MAYBE a lip.

News flash! Not all stock BPVs leak, if they do it means yours is broke hence why you might benefit from a different one!

A better rear MM will not eliminate wheel hop, it might minimize it sure. The car feels a lot more refined with the stock MM and like I said before, if you race a MM is something to consider as well.

My car holds about 2psi more with a Cobb sri vs. stock. For $175.00 that’s a damn good deal!

We all have our own opinions but for you to say I'm not holding more boost with an intake you're dead wrong.

The intake is allowing you to make boost better because of the less restrictiveness. But its not the component thats "holds" the boost. The BPV and the wastegate do. Do you have a boost controller or Cobb AP?? The car doesnt boost @ 16.5lbs from the factory or by adding intake. You can hit 18lbs with a stock intake. It all matters what the target boost is and wastegate duty is at and if the BPV can hold it.

As for the MM. I got the TRZ Poly. Its not annoyingly stiff. My wheel hop is gone. I do race/AutoX the car. So it is important to have. But not everyone here races and got an upgraded mount because it feels better and there's more piece of mind.

This is not an opinion. These are just statements on my own personal experiences and to the best of my knowledge.

You don't need a boost controller or cobb ap to boost more than factory and I never said an intake is a component that "holds" boost! The factory bpv is more than sufficient at holding over stock boost levels unless of course yours is broken, mines not. I will say it again, stock my car held ~14.5psi with an intake its holding ~16.5psi. You're just giving people bum scoop when you say you need a aftermarket BPV and or a cobb ap to hold more boost which isn’t true.

Stock boost is at 15.6. Adding an intake will allow you to reach stock psi. Adding the cobb SRi increases your fuel trims. This is why your boost is a little higher. And its not the safest way to increase boost, which is why i got a turbo inlet to lower my trims which are now almost dead-on between -0.8 to 3.1 @ idle. And still, I only see 15.7 till 4500 and 15 @ 5000. 14.5 @ 5500. Which is normal. The only time i see higher boost is when i spike to around 18psi at first WOT. I have the Cobb SRI too. I'm not hating on it that it wont give you power, no doubt there. I've felt the difference.

Stock psi? Something is wrong with your car. My fuel trims actually improved with the cobb sri (better than your -0.8 to 3.1 @idle) and I'm boosting higher than stock by 2psi. If you're only seeing 15.7 psi till 4500 and 15@ 5000, etc your car has a leak or something. Mine spikes to 20psi and holds over 16psi to 6000rpms with just an intake. I'm measuring with a Dashhawk so I'm pretty sure its correct. You might want to check for leaks..

BTW this car runs pig rich from the factory, adding an intake just leans it out a bit.

No leaks here. I can assure you that. I've done a leak-down test with smoke and soapy/water solutions. Ops check good. (cabpatch)

FWIW..ECU's between the 07-8.5's and the 09's are different

Motor mount first? Thats what Ive read, and that alone is going to be ~$100 + tax/ship Maybe start saving for more, $200 only buys one or less mod.
