Paypal TOS Violations

See to me if you have a problem paying the 3% just send me a money order, or a personal check and i won't charge it to you. BUT if people want their item faster, paypal is the fastest way to pay for it, and that way it shows up right away, and i will ship it. Regardless of which you use, personal check or paypal, it still takes 3-4 days to actually be in my bank account to spend.
And no i don't want a paypal credit card/debit card because i honestly don't use it that much.

if you read the fine print the debit card charges a 5% surcharge every time you use it.. so much for their TOS agreement ROFL.

Haha so they make money when you use the service, and then when you use their card, they hit you with another fee? That is total BS

I've never had a surcharge from using my PayPal debit card...in fact I have gotten a 1% refund when using my PayPal debit card to make purchases (ie not withdraw cash from an ATM)

I coulda sworn I saw somewhere where it said 5% surcharge...o well, if you get no such charge then I must be mistaken. :)

Let's just call it a paypal 'handling' fee.

i figured this would be the general reaction.

the result is the same yes, but one way breaks the law, and the other way covers your ass.

not a demand by me, but more of an FYI more than anything. its up to the admins/whoever makes the rules if they want to make this a rule.

anyway again not telling you what to do: i think ill quote myself:

Well, I will take you for your word. I also agree with you, a rule is a rule.

That and your in Tx,

nope still cant do that

This restriction does not prevent you from imposing a handling fee in connection with the sale of goods or services, as long as the handling fee does not operate as a surcharge (in other words, the handling fee for transactions paid through PayPal may not be higher than the handling fee for transactions paid through other payment methods).
the discount method is the only proven legal way to get away with it.

I'am not a merchant and I'am not taking Visa, AMEX, MC as payment through Paypal either.

me either. its not like you are forced to take thier CC payment.

i deny every one people send to me and tell them to either bank draft or to send check or money order.

also for transactions over $500 its already a money order or a combonation of non-cc paypal.

The way I look at it, if you don't like it don't buy it. Most the people selling stuff in the forsale sections aren't merchants. They aren't doing it as a buisness, hell most of the time they're selling stuff to come up with money they need quickly. So why would they eat the %3 fee if they are in need of money. As far as calculating the fee in before hand and then calling it something else, thats just retarded.Paypal fees are paypal fees, doesn't matter what you call them. Sticking feathers up your butt does not make you a chicken.

bottom line is would you agree that this is the only way to legally cover your ass on all bases and still get away with getting full amount? you might think its bulls*** but thats your problem with paypal and has nothing to do with the way I posted to legally get around it.

either way your opinion is dumb. if i see something i like and i can afford it i will buy it. missing out on something on the sole fact that if i take the OPTION of paying by paypal when other methods are available is just ******* retarded.

you wouldnt go to jail for something like this. worse that could happen is that you would get your paypal account locked and taken away from you. And the only chance of someone on here getting caught is if someone went and told paypal.

Besides anyone that cry's about 3% of anything, (unless it’s like $1million) needs to punch themselves in the groin a few times.

Also, nobody gives a s***, this thread is useless.
