Painting a P5

Guys I am looking to paint my P5 from the Yellow to a black or charcoal gray. Does anyone know how much a paint job like this would run me? Has anyone done this?

If you know somebody you can get a nice paint job for a good deal. I had my old Cobra repainted with a really high quality paint job for only 1700.

I asked at Abra a while ago and they said around $3000. If you go black you should probably leave two stripes of yellow...

yeah i have purple tweed interior and yellow dash pieces so iam kinda goin with that scheme on the outside,,, iam doin some heavy body mods now though so it will be janurary b4 it gets paint,,, please keep this post up and sent me messages and i will be glad to take pics as i go

yeah, 2 to 4k sounds about right. yellow is one of the hardest colors to cover up. there are only a few options when doing it. you can either strip it off (time comsuming = high labor costs) or a couple coats of primer/sealer (very expensive). the reason being is yellow bleeds through almost everything.

Sounds like it'd almost be cheaper to sell your P5 and pick up a black one.

I'm going to try to paint my car myself in a few months.

Not sure on what colors though... I know it won't come out great, but I just hate the stock 'gold/tan' color it is now...

I'm thinking blue with some type of black design stripes or something somewhere.
