hey yall....i was wondering, how much does it cost for a full car paint job...or just some hood work? like getting half of it painted on the lines....i am sure you know what i mean tho.

Any one know about paint job...i wanna go red white and black

most likely it will all depend on the place you go to. I've seen commercials about maaco that has their presidential package on sale, I think $200 or something around that. Dont know the quality though and might be more expensive if you want color schemes and what not.

If however you want someone else to do it, it will be in the $2500 and up range.

i have calld a lot of shops and i keep getting 2.5k lol i cant afford that...waht hapend to the 200? or 400 or even 600

go to maco and get the embassador paint job for a couple hundred. then kick yourself for not spending money on a good shop.

Yep, that's what I would say too. Expect $500+ for good paint, and try to do the prep beforehand to save on costs. Call around and try small local places instead of chain-stores.

Unless you know someone...$2K and up is the norm....I have seen paint jobs as high as $10K for a single color....It just depends on who you know and what your doing...A full paint with color change is no easy task.

macco is you want your rig to be sun faded and oxidized in 6-12 mos. basically its like taking your 2-300$ and throwing it out the window. find a "certified collision specialist", they can make your body panels fit like they did from the factory after they have been removed and your going to get ppg spray at the bare minimum. my 99 cobra svt was a factory blank white for the drag sponsors to sticker when i got it. i wanted the electric green color since there was so few ordered like that. three coats of house of colors EG, two clear and done in a pro booth. 3k and worth every penny. its all on how much YOU value your car. are you going to part with it in a year? not much sense in paying top dollar for a spendy paint job. in the end its advice we can give you but the end result is your call.

damn, didnt know any of that. I assumed quality wasnt gonna be good for such a price but didnt know how bad it was. Good thing I'm no where near getting a paint job, wanna do it once I get a full body kit which aint any time soon.
