PAC Steering Wheel problem?

Hey all,

Just installed a new headunit, Pioneer AVIC 6000NEX. Everything works great, except the steering wheel control. The volume and the forward/backwards buttons work. But for some reason my installer just couldn't get the voice command button and the Phone on/off buttons to work. Any ideas on what he did wrong or might have missed?

I doubt he even went and re-programmed it. I have the same issues with mine and I have a 4000NEX, and I'm just using it with the factory settings. If you have the manual that came with the RP4, look at how to re-program it. One thing someone mentioned on here is that you can essentially program 2 commands to each button by doing short and long presses. You want to avoid doing long presses for the voice activation button as that will make it not work correctly. When I get around to re-programming mine I'm just going to use short presses for all buttons, but you should be able to program it to work correctly, just follow the instructions in the manual

I just realized why my installer and I didn't know how to re-program the interface. I just downloaded the full manual on the PAC website, turns out the manual that came in the box (bought from Amazon) was missing a few pages! Maybe I got a returned product from Amazon and the guy who returned it didn't put everything back in the box. Bummer, now I gotta take the panels off again and just get in there to re-program it (rant)

I just re-programmed the SWC. All functions work now. I also added ATT by programming a long press on the volume down. I tried to program the phone menu to the voice activation as a short press but in order for the voice activation button to work, it seems you have to hold it down for a couple seconds anyway, so it's not possible to program that as a short press at least from what I'm seeing. But after I finished program if I do a long press on the voice activation button it prompts Siri. The answer and end call buttons are also working now
