Which size tires do you put on your P5.

Stock size?
205/45 r16?
205/50 r16? or
205/55 r16?

Which one do you recommend most?

For my stockers I have Yokohama AVS ES 100, 205/45/16
For my 16X7 5-zigen's I have NITTO 555, 205/45/16

nice stiff sidewalls let my car handle nicely and the speedo is almost exactly the same as stock

I forget what the offset is. My car is at the body shop right now or I'd go look. I get a little rubbing on the right rear when the tires are new. but a spirited trip or two up Mingus Mountain usually cures that ;)

Looks like I am going to get 215/50 r16.
My 205/45 r16 are almost due (have 6K mil. more on them max) and this morning when I go to Discount tire to have a rotation, they discovered there is a bubble on the left rear tire. This is the 2nd time I have bubble on my yokohama tires (last time was on my Corolla and it actually blew before I notice). Seems like this is an issue for Yokohama tires. Anyone have the same experience? I want to get some Bridgestone but they are quite expensive.

I just got the Dunlop Direzza's and they are pretty good. Handling is great and the ride is quiet and comfortable. If you go Potenza's which I couldn't because they don't make them in my size, but get the re750's. Its a beautiful and well worth every penny.

I had a similar bubble on my left rear tire on the stock 195 Dunlops. I decided to replace 2 tires with used ones from a local store until I can figure out exactly what tires/rims that I want.

Is there much performance difference between 215/50r16 and 215/55r16?
Cause 215/50r16 are more expensive and have less choice.

what is the stock p5 tire size?

195/50/16

Alternate sizes:
205/45/16 (what I have on my stockers)
205/50/16 (great looking and comfortable but more sidewall flex)
205/55/16 (not very common but I have seen some crazy folks running this size)

guys, remember that the tire design has the greatest effect on sidewall flex not sidewall size. sidewall flex allows for ride comfort, so a 205/45 tire designed for comfort is going to flex more than a stiff sidewall 205/55 race tire.

You can put 215 on them too, right?
