Okay,

I got a couple questions. I want to put a quiet exhaust system on my new P5. MazdaSpeed, HKS? What do you guys recommend?

Next Question,
Which intake is recommended, AEM? Kand N? Injen? I kind of like the CAI idea, but am nervous about inhaling water in the motor and I don't want one of the KandN waterchargers that you have to replace every two years. Should I just get a short intake?

Thanks your help!!!!!!!!

i say go with the Injen intake...i had one on my first p5 and never had a problem with water and loved it..and i will soon have another one so i say go injen and u wont regret it

the injen is safe from water unless you drive in a flood. its secured in basicallly its own compartment. hell with a little sealant you could make it waterproof :p

there is also the bypass valve which prevents practically anything from getting up in that pipe. unless you drive routinely at the bottom of lakes, the injen works fine. had one before i went turbo and loved it.

no it doesnt. it just keeps it from sucking up lots of water. it doesnt filter the air or anything. all it keeps it from doing is sucking up water like a hose when the car is submerged. its a waste of money and horsepower.

If you want a catback exhaust with a slightly louder but definetly lower tone with a little bit of a rumble go for the Racing Beat. I had a Racing Beat catback on on my P5 before I traded it in. If you get intake and exhaust you'll be able to hear the engine with the intake just a little bit more then the exhaust.

yes, i know its a waste of money. hence the sarcastic "bottom of lakes" comment. i didn't mean that it would act as a filter for air or what have you. it seems more like a peace of mind piece than anything else.

why the hell would anyone submerge thier car?
