P5 down, but hopefully not out

god damn...now if I can only convince my wife not to like the stock P5 wheels so much...

Can't get over those pics, but at least you could walk away from it! I have a feeling your P5 wont be down for the count yet. And love the new rims....ebay rocks. That is the kind of deal I am looking for. Anyway, hope you get her back on the road soon and with pics.

Does anyone know how hard it'll be to replace the plastic snaps that hold the side skirts in? Where are those buyable at?
they're pretty easy you can just pick them up at the dealer parts dept. you'll be looking to spend not even 20 bucks for both sides. don't bother going to a body shop you'll pay double. also here's my buddies info if anyone had a bit of bad luck and really need the hook up on OEM parts. just tell him where heard about him and he'll do his best.

damn dude!! i haven't been cruising the forums much lately and it's the first time i've seen this post. i did damn near the same thing to my p5 within two weeks of purchasing it. mine was snow related, and all the damage was mainly suspension related, but those pics bring back some sad memories. it was the day before christmas, too!! repairs were quoted at about 2500 and surprisingly took very little time to be completed. hopefully, your p5 won't take too long to get back on the road, too. good luck with the repairs!!

here's a pic of my little woopsies...

I'm in the same boat right now. About the same thing happened to me except for brake locked up on me. I hit my passanger side front first then the rear. I've replaced the control arm and the brake rotor which was cracked in half. I believe I still need struts and maybe a tierod. The Tierod does not seem bent but my wheels currently sit like this

l l

Plus it seems to be cambered out a little. It use to be cambered in. Would everyone agree just the strut or since it's still bent out it could be the tierod.

I'm affraid to drive it to a close body shop so they can look at it. Anyone in the Concord, NC area want to come take a look and give a second opinion?

yep yep. Hurray, glad to know I"m not the only one lol. Ok, not really, I wish none of us were in this boat.

You have to be f'n kidding me. I did the same exact thing this weekend, but on the other side, and on gravel left in the middle of the road by street sweeper.

Damn it! I call conspiracy....Guys, good luck on the repairs. I SHOULD have mine back by the middle of next week

If I could find a strut I'd of had my back by now.... Stupid Junkyards want more then the dealer!!!!!!! Uh..... Can you get a stock strut new or used anywhere for like $50? Someone help!

update

so, I just went to the dealership to bring them a couple of wheels to put on the car, and I found out they forgot to order a part! It's like a $12 plate for the hub or some s***, grrrrrr. Not having my car's killing me! Oh, found something else, I'll have pics later...

also, ordered tires, and they should be here wednesday

Hope you get it back soon man. I got mine back up and on the road. Just replaced the 2 rims that got messed up today. So I'm happy now tomorrow I shall get an alignment and will be happy! Total Cost........... About $220 for everything.

Hey Andrew...at least you're not a member of the 'Zoom Zoom Boom' club yet!
I am...lol.

Anyway...this was from Cheaha @ the SE Mazda Meet last year...this was when Kev still had his MP3-t.

2 flats in one day...man of all the s*** that could happen!??

Oh yeah...for all those who need stock wheels...I have a set...well 3...1 is pending a sale!

wth? NOT TEH FOR SALE SECTION! lol

On that note, I went to the dealership today (see previous post).

This is what I found:
I have NO clue how it cracked on the back side, but it's directly across from the point of impact. Dunno if it had a weak spot or what, but s***!
