guys..this problem has been bugging me so much now...like what the auto zone guy said its an o2 sensor thing..soi replace it then its still there...one of the guys said to check for leaks and ive done it..its still here...now my idling is a little erractic except if i turn on the a/c...any more advice?...let me know...im so close on changing my fuel filter and manifold gasket...HELP..hehe

the p-0170..is the fuel trim mulfunction at bank 1.... they said its the o2 sensor...so i did change it and a bunch of other things..ive been wanting to bring it to mazda but i know its gonna cos me an arm and a leg...

Most common thing I've heard to do for this problem is intake manifold gasket

so , should i change the two gaskets..the one after the intake pipe and the one before the engine just to be sure..or better to get the dealer check it out..i think ive heard theyhave this manifold checkier they use..i dunno..

Trust me...ive done EVERYTHING to fix this prob even with the help of my local mazda dealer...ive done a PCV breather all the way to a new ECU...nothing.
After some research (specifically from davewoodmazda.com), they have said its likely the intake manifold gasket...they have fixed numerous 2gens and that has been the prob. The gasket is like $15CDN...the labour, well, thats up to you!
