Whats the PROPER offset for a 16x8 & 17x8 with some BC coil-overs?

+40-50 you really only need a 7" wide rim. To make them look stretched (if thats what youre going for assumeing the 8" rim) you would have to run a 165ish tire which would look retarded I'm runing 215-45-17 on my mp3 and it looks fine

17x7 +52 offset on stock racing beat springs which lower ~3/4"

So if I want to run a 17x8.5 +27, I should probably run a 205/40/17?

You would have to roll the fenders and possibly camber it to keep it from rubbing even then it will probably still rub. Most people have to roll fenders with a +40 offset with a 17x7

Mazdas are not Hondas, it needs a high off set. For example my 323 with 15x7 +40 with a 205-50 my front tires stick out a hair past the fender
