I'm sorry...I know this is off topic, but I need your suggestions. My girl's 99' 626 had a engine check light on few days ago. Because we bought it used for communting to her school, we never went back to dealer to have it service. But I am not sure this time if any shop can solve this coz it might need a computer to diagnosis what's the problem. Thanks gus!

Any good shop should be able to diag. the problem with a scan tool and clear the CEL...or you could do it yourself, to clear the code just pull the negative wire off the battery for a min or so and the ecu will reset. if you want to actually find out what the code is PM me and I'll give you the instructions...no need to post them in this thread.

cant tell, are those headlights the exact same form as the p5? like the same shape and everything? what about the taillights? are those the same as the mp3/msp?

I'm willing to bet good money that they're the excat size of the sedan headlights...if anything is different it'll be the hood line.

those headlights are the exact same as our proteges.....hmmmm....anyone have any thoughts on how to acquire them?

ok.. that thing is pretty damn badass.. except for the ford logos on it.. looks like they tried to throw a little of the "fucus style" into it too and kinda ****** up the back end a little... the reverse lights around the license plates for example are kinda fordy... and the front bumper actually aint bad... the headlights are pimp and taillights are pimp... but they wont fit... the tails aren't even really that close... and they look too focusy for me.. and the headlights are just slightly a different shape.. they'll probably fit.. but wont look right without mods... interior is nice too... it seems to put out similar power/handling to the mp3...

all in all looks like a damn good car.. a few things could be fixed.. not quite as awesome as an mp3.. but still a nice car...

and WTF!!! this makes no sense to me.. (i hate ford.. so its not like i WISH this would happen or anything) ok.. mazda and ford are "parteners" in a sense... for example.. the probe was a mazda.. but ford said hey b**** imma steal your s*** and release it under my name so that people dont think we ONLY put out bad cars... and mazda being the nice people they are.. said ok.. we'll share some of our amazing design and style experience and maybe you guys can stop sucking so much..

so... I dont get why the hell mazda (a japanese company) is releasing the care in the US and ford (an american company) is releasing the car in ASIA... that is stoopid...

ok.. but thinking about it.. i guess both companies are big enough to where they have headquarters/customer base/platforms in multiple countries... and dont really care about the money they have to spend (they do care.. but its not like they have a limited budget or anything) but if theyre partners and one is a us country the other is a jp country.. why not just cover their respective corners of the world if they are gonna release basically the same car??

cancel that.....head and tails are different.....the sides of them are.....

the tails would require a whole new rear quarterpanel which would make your protege looks like a focus.....but the heads, which have the same minor difference, the sides, look as if they only miss about an inch or so of the point protege headlights have on the top on the side of the car. am i making sense?

but protege lights (im waiting on an MSP so i dont know for sure) looks like they have a couple inches of maybe just 1 inch of unused space in that top point on the side.....i think that these headlights would snap right into the housing of protege lights....and its LHD so the lights would be aimed appropriately too right?

Thanks man...then I think I will have it diag. in a shop I used to go since I am not a DIY guy and know little on vehicle jargons. Hope this time it won't be costly...

if u go to fordtierra.com you will see there is no way the tail lights will fit....would need a whole new rear quarterpanel which would make it look like a focus

ok... from this angle.. that is a definite NO! there is no way those will fit our car without modification to the body around the edges... they are shorter and stubbier than our lights... they do look like they would fit on a Kia perfectly though... which is sad.. lol

they also look like they wrap around the side about a half inch to an inch farther than ours do

if you take your thumb, and hold it up over the ford logo in the pics.. the car looks ALOT better... must be one of those subliminal message type deally things... ford = run away very very very fast in the mp3
