Out the door cost?

CX7 Touring + moonroof/Bose. Invoice from KBB = $25,831 iccl shipping. Dealer offered Invoice + $270 incluiding all doc fees & prep. OUT THE DOOR for invoice + $270 = $26,103 + sales tax. Anyone doing better or as good? Thank you. Ed in Florida

Because states have different taxes and license fees the "Out the Door" price varies widely.

Being from Florida myself if you payed 270 over invoice you did very well IMO.

Lic. and tax should not enter the equation.

The $270 over KBB invoice incl all doc fees but, not sales tax or licence transfer. Ed

Back with the rebates, I was able to part with $25,800 for an AWD GT with Bose/Moonroof/Homelink from the invoice price of $28,382 and $30,455 MSRP.

For $26,000 with no rebates, you did very well on the price

wow - 25,800 for an AWD w/bose & a homelink. that may be the lowest sales price on this board, and or in the country haha

Actually, it's not that low considering the $3500 rebate for a GT that was active in March ($2500 for Sport and $3000 for Touring). This offer is what prompted me to get the CX-7 a little earlier than I planned. And, add to that the $1000 AutoShow rebate, and my good deal could have even been better. The dealer kept $1750 from all the rebates, as well. It actually could of been cheaper, but I did not feel like pushing things too hard since it was already more than affordable. Without the rebates, and it would have been back to the $28,500 price they usually asked for the vehicle. So, 28,500 or so less $2750 got me to $25,800 and a nice affordable $193 per month lease payment.

price check aisle CX-7

FYI
Prices are really dropping. I just bought a new silver platinum GT AWD with moon/bose + remote start. boston area $24,500
That's $6030 below invoice!
We were considering a RAV4, but there is just no comparison at this price. Or with anything for that matter.

I was at my dealership last night, and the sales guy who sold me mine said they were moving a lot of them thanks to the aggressive pricing. Seems the number one trade-in was the Tahoe.

wow, i never new of that big rebate. that is massive considering it was before any end of the year clearance or model closeout. No wonder you nabbed a CX-7, cant beat a deal like that on a loaded car.

I bought mine March 10th and I only got the $1000 auto show rebate. Is there anyway to check and see if my dealer pulled a fast one on me and put $3500 in his pocket?

Well, as far as I know, the rebates were a national incentive program in the month of March. The autoshow bonus was a local one. Check your paperwork, since they cannot legally hide any rebates. There will be some type of notation on the finance agreement somewhere.

i live here in cali, really expensive.

want to trade my mazda6 for one (my car i paid cash for)

but i can't really find anything under $30K

:-(

You're not looking hard enough...I got mine in Vegas for invoice. Come here if you can't find one there.

i was thinking about out of state. my friend tiffany works at showcase mazda in arizona, but then when i finance the rest, i have to bring it back and pay tax here. i can't finance the tax too. that's the only downside.

what dealer in las vegas?

I bought mine at 'Courtesy' but there is another Mazda dealer as well, 'Peoples'. They're both owned by the same person.

Save up for the sales tax...should be in the neighborhood of $2,100.00 +/- at roughly 7.75% if you're looking at a GT like you say (at 30k) after negociating.

for jerome

Jerome,
You asked for some documents. Hope they are legible.

Well, I'll give you a precise run-down of what I got and paid according to my records...

2007 Mazda CX-7 GT FWD $26,300
Copper Red/Sand
Options:
1MC Moonroof/Bose $1,585
MRH Compass/Autodim/Homelink $250
Delivery $560

Subtotal: $28,695 sticker

Dealer Add-ons:
Window Tint $450
Desert Protection Package $1,500

Asking Price by the Dealer: $30,645

By Comparison's sake, Dealer invoice on the car was $26,797
The tint the dealer added was $150
The Protection Pkg added was $500
(I saw which company in town added each and how much they charged the dealer)

Meaning...the dealer's invoice after adding their stupid s*** was $27,447.

I paid $27,561 +TTL which I believe is fair since I would have gotten the windows tinted anyway. The dealer made $114 off of me which I deemed a good deal.

Could I have gone somewhere else in Utah or AZ or CA to buy a car w/o the paint sealant if I thought that $500 was going to kill me? Sure, but how much would a plane ticket or gas and food and perhaps not quite as good a deal as I got here added up to? I figured $500 +/- so I took it here which saved me time as well.

Its all up to you. There are a lot of things to think about before heading to the dealer or while you're sitting there. Don't let them rush you, its a lot of money.

Good luck!!

CX-7 prices are falling

Some dealers are now getting $2000 incentives for selling CX-7's
I am seeing quotes for GT AWD with Tech package for $27,350 (before tax, tags, fees, etc..)
