Does anyone know is Mazda plans on making any other MAZDASPEED models, such as a Miata or 6, or just the Protege?
other mazdaspeed vehicles?

When I was picking up my P5 last week, I questioned my dealer about this (I was talking to the General Manager of Sales at University Mazda in Seattle). He said that rumors were going around about an all wheel drive, turbo 6 in 2-3 years. While he is only a dealer and they aren't the most reliable sources of new product info, I'd be inclined to believe him as he's been with Mazda for nearly 15 years now. He was right on the mark about Mazda Credit doing away with the 0% financing for 60 months. I go the P5 just in time!
If they do come out with a Mazdaspeed 6, I'd certainly be customer #1 in Seattle. Woo hoo! (wiggle)

Check that... if they come out with a Mazdaspeed 6 wagon or hatchback, THEN I'll be first in line. Those designs make me drool.

2004 is supposed to be the mazda 3, not the p5
and if they were doing a mazdaspeed p5 for 2003 or 2003.5 wouldnt they have announced it when they announced the 2003 MSPs or the 2003.5 MSPs...........or the SECOND batch of 2003.5 MSPs?
it seems to me like its getting a little late

Mazdaspeed rx8, they won't let us know what's under the hood.
I was told by my dealer when asking about MSP parts, that there would be a Mazdaspeed Protege5 coming out in a while -- This was Saturday that he told me this, and while I'm not sure about it being true, I thought I'd pass it on.
I don't think I'll buy another car until there starts to be more models offering AWD, so even if the MSP5 did come out, I don't think I'd buy it. I'd upgrade my car here and there with certain components, but until I can get some AWD, I'm sticking with my P5.

Yea, I heard they were doing an MS Rx-8, I am gonna hold off on getting my RX-8 till I know whats up with the MazdaSpeed RX-8...cost if its only say 5g more and has a lot more stuff..ill just get it instead...I can only wait and see though.
You should see if you can import the Mazdaspeed Demio. It's a cool looking small car that's already out on the roads in Japan. somebody had some pics...

The MS P5 was rumored to only happen if the sales of P5s dropped alot before the Mazda3 came out. This would be in order to end the Protege lineup with a bang instead of slumped sales.
Sounds good but don't hold your breath with MazdaSpeed, you'll die way before they actually produce something on time or even near on time.

There will be no Mazdaspeed P5. Sorry to say it but the days of the Protege are drawing to an end. Next in line will be the Mazdaspeed 6 (VERY similar to the MPS Atenza), and the Mazdaspeed Miata (VERY similar to a Miata available in another country, Austrailia I think but can't remember for sure), then most likely the Mazdaspeed RX-8 (DROOL!).
