'Other' Mazda 5 Competitors?

When we were 'van' shopping earlier this year. We checked out a Town & Country. The first thing I tried was the 3rd row. Immediately climbed out and said "No Way". I'm sure it was only because of the 'Stow and Go', but I couldn't fit my size 12s behind the 2nd row seat because of them hitting the mounts. I sit in the 3rd row of the 5 no problem. The Odyssey is great, but couldn't fathom spending nearly 2X as much.

I just brought up minivans because others were talking about the third row seats in the Toyota Highlander and infiniti QX56. Those are very big vehicles too...

I thought it was related but I apologize for taking the thread on a tangent.

No apologies, we are talking vehicles because we are all enthusiasts to some degree. Sorry if I made you feel you hijacked the thread (doh)

Just curious, was the T&C you look at have stow-n-go 2nd Row seats or just the 3rd row seats? The stow-n-go 2nd row seats in pretty neat feature but it does compromise the seating comfortability of both the 2nd and 3rd tow.

OP, feel free to steer the conversation back to the original topic of competitors to the 5. Sorry about the tangent.

You know whats even more of a joke? The swivel and go option, the seats practically touch when facing each other! Useless unless you have 4 really young kids and loading it up is even worse, forget having any baggage on the floor if you want to use it.

ORLLYYYYY? That's too bad, I thought that was such a cool idea, though it wasn't entirely new. Oh well, I like the driver's seat better anyway (drive2)
