OT- Sirius has removed the Punk channel in favor a dedicated AC/DC channel

Feel free to write Sirius if you are disappointed.

Hello,

I want to express my disgust that the "punk" channel (29) has been replaced by the AC/DC channel. I think it's a poor move to replace a channel that represents an entire genre with one dedicated to a band that gets plenty of air time on other channels.

You are hurting your reputation with the tail end of Gen X up through Gen Y.

I was going to post the same thing, but wasn't sure if there were any more punks here. =P I loved that channel....

i hear there's a mysterious area where you can post OT information without having to put OT in the title. it's called OT

and the AC/DC channel i believe is only temporary. don't know if they plan to bring back punk after but from my understanding the ac/dc channel is just a promotional thing to ring in their new album

I don't have sirius, but that's probably the only channel i would listen to. I may write anyway, just for the hell of it...

XM radio did a similar thing. there is a dedicated channel that plays only one band for a certain period of time.

There was like a whole month or so of led zeppelin. It was awesome.

I would guess that the AC/DC channel is Temp due to them releasing a new album soon and they have not release one in a very long time.

One way to look at it is this. They would only replace a channel that had the lowest amount of listeners. Thus how bad was the Punk Channel when the Martha Stewart Channel has more listeners :)

Not knocking Punk BTW just using common sense.
