get 'em Sam!!! Have you received the UC software yet? I'm interested in what kind of timing the base tune is adding/subtracting.
get the wideband yet :p

haha, nope. hopefully soon though. next week is gonna be busy but I'll try to fit it in :)

ok everyone stop so this thread stays open. Keep beef in the PMs and emails.
Fed-Ex delivery 09/21/05. The programmer just chooses options from the Unichip software. They will not do any 'personal' tuning without the car in front of them and the proper equipment. Everything he did was an option for the MSP in the software - and I verified this with Unichip. I talked to Unichip quite a bit actually... to make sure everything was kosher. Again... wait until I get the unit and look it over. Who knows I could get the kit and it could be missing stuff or damaged or it could look used. Who knows. They could be whoring out cheap products... who knows. I did my background and feel safe in spending the $700 with them.

I usually don't flame at all but for those who f-ed up this thread THANKS A TON. So sue me for getting a Unichip for $700.

Ken you are awesome. Sorry I did not get one from you.... but I did not decide I needed one until the GB was closed. As luck would have it I found this one. If the GB was still on I would have gotten one due to your outstanding service and reputation. I know how much hell comes with being the middle man.... I am a consultant. There are as much flames as there are compliments. Kudos for sticking through it and being helpful to the Mazda community.

Lets all eat some watermelon, spit seeds, and be happy!!!

they are not whoring out a bad product. they are selling below what is required of them in the sales contract. Sam and I have both reported them to Unichip. Ask anyone in the industry. Whoring out parts under MAP pricing puts you at risk of losing that contract, period. If they have a special deal with Unichip (doubtful from what I know of them) then so be it. Luckily, all of my remaining units ship monday and I will have washed my hands clean of it all.

CasopoliS, I am sorry that immature and childish individuals chose to rain on your thread. I do not apologize for defending myself and other vendors from people like that, especially when there are libelous falsehoods and incorrect information being thrown casually about.

I appreciate your kind words and do not need an apology from you, you have done me nor anyone else any wrong here. I am glad and thankful for your support. It is people like you that keep me in this business and make up for all the petty and insolent bickering that floods this forum. I am eager to see how this all pans out for you and will be happy to help you should you need it in the future.

Tito1,

It is obvious you are referring to me in regard to your statements, and thank you for not directly bashing my name. But let me get a few things straight. The last time we spoke about this I was posting that CorkSport and Pineapple Racing were the only places to get this product. First of all, I do not work for CorkSport and didn't when I was posting about it then. I have never promoted myself to be the only place to get them either. I come here to answer questions more times than try and sell product. Secondly, this product was only purchasable through CorkSport or Pineapple Racing (when it was first released). Those two companies provided the car and the tech support to Unichip and to sell this product so it was exclusive part to them only. Pineapple already had the contact over there and the wholesale account and CorkSport had the retail store, car, and salesmen to provide tech (there was no other EMS type of unit out for the MSP at that time). Both of those companies are located in the same area as Unichip. Later on down the road Unichip started doing regular wholesale on this item making them purchasable to anyone who sold Unichip product. Thirdly, I cannot not now and never been able to delete posts on this message board. I explained that to you before.

The price they have it for is amazing. Protege Garage or myself are not making the kind of margin to offer it that low. I'm sure I could get a better price if I were direct with that company, but I am not unfortunately.

its halfway here.... it says signature required and I will not be home. So I might not get it Wednesday like I am supposed to. I might leave a note on the door or have my neighbor sign for it. Expect an update then.

It is FedEX home delivery, not standard FedEX. They will not let my neighbor sign for it nor will they drop it off. Looks like I am going to have to pick it up, but its really hard to get a hold of people to get that arranged. They made the first attempt today.

have we digressed far enough yet
...and we can all thank you for that since you like to troll around and start trouble with vendors and ruin vendor threads. ive never seen you around here, but seem to be a very misinformed individual. you shouldnt be allowed to post in vendor threads because all you do is b**** about one thing or another and start 'drama' with captain krm, dexter, horsepowerfreaks, and whoever else i missed. if i was a vendor, i wouldnt even accept your money because obviously dealing with you leads to nothing but headaches.

back on topic, I have to pick this up 20 minues away at the FedEX facility because sender requires signature. I will do this Saturday I think.... but I have a wedding to go to. God I just want to work on my car!!!

Just picked it up. Great packaging, I must say. If I think I can install it in ehough time (wedding in 4 hours) I will.

came with everything but the valve. Came with the hoses for the valve, but not the damn valve. The comany opens at 11:30 - which will be too late on my time. Unless I can install the Unichip without the valve for now, but I am skeptical to do so if they want me to return the entire thing.
See this is what happens when you get stuff cheap.

bumpity - they are calling Unichip today. I told them to get on it or the review on the Mazda forums was going to get real ugly :)

Valve? You mean the solenoid? The piece that hooks into the wastegate line...

btw, a local unichip tuner/vendor basically told me in not so many words, that he'd only tune the unichip if i bought it from him...sucks!

edit: the vendor is not on this forum.

Yes I mean the solenoid. It came with everything else, the wires, the tubing, even the white tube used to feed the wires through the firewall.

Just talked with SFX and they called Unichip right away this morning. Supposedly once I talk with a specific individual from Unichip (same person SFX talked with), they will send me the solenoid replacement part. I just left a message with that individual (was on the other line).
