Opinions on a Carbon Fiber Look..

IMHo if u are going the paint it, just the the Carbon/Kevlar weave to match

I just like the look of carbon fiber, to b ad theres not more carbon fiber parts XP

I have a roof cap on the way now My idea for the CF hood, roof cap, trunk, and wing was for the dark to be there.. to add to the look, and then realize when you're close up that it's all carbon fiber. I figured the only way I'm going to do the trunk is if I have the roof cap so that it flows, instead of being choppy (hood then trunk).. and heck, the roof cap option is there so I may as well just do it!

I will have a CF hood and trunk eventually but they will both be painted titanium to have a sleeper look.

SO why get them...I bet the net Weight saving would be less than 10lbs. total between the two.
Clean out your trunk and keep the $1000-1500 in your pocket.

I'm pondering a thought, and just came up with another idea. With the carbon fiber hood, roof cap, and the trunk, what the heck color would the wing be without looking out of place?? I mean the rest of the car is titanium, and after seeing some photos of the cf trunk on Pirana's website it sort of looks out of place since it borders yellow..

Now, my idea. CF hood, roof cap, Evo wing - paint the sides titanium, leave the center carbon fiber.. then leave the stock trunk. That way it's not just overly random CF, and you'll actually notice the wing instead of it blending in with the trunk, and the trunk looking funky since everything around it is titanium. It will level out the look, and pick up the carbon fiber on the roof cap and hood. Sam's car (first link) is like that with the wing, just imagine the CF hood and the roof cap when you look at the photos.

IMO its very easy to O/D with carbonfiber goodies, i'd just keep simple with the hood and trunk........ the evo wing is a love and hate thing cuz it kinda automatically says i wished this was an evo..... buuuut it does look nice from what ive seen..

i was looking at getting the EVO hood but im not 100% sold. id like to ethier paint it full titanium (i personally dont like the CF look all that much), or paint the sides and leave the center CF so it looks like an overlay
