strange..that looks exactly like my MP5a1 suppressed airsoft gun...when I say exactly, I mean..I'm holding it in my hands..and its exactly it..not to say that it isnt real...but..just strange...hehe..you dont want any of me..M14, armalite AR-30 .338 Lapua (my newest) and my springfield 1991 trophy cup match .45...true.

SpicyMchaggis,
where did you get your airsoft MP5. We have 5 airsoft MP5s at the range, and you are right, they look EXACLY the same. I want one to play with (chase the neighborhood kids), but the ones we have are like $500.

The MP5, without the barrel extension(silencer) is the ultimate point of entry weapon. :D

We used that little toy every time we had to do MOUT training, and a few times in Somolia. :D

I've only got two cheap ones, but I have had them for quite a while now. Marlin .22 Rifle, Rossi M971 .357Mag Revolver (2.5 inch barrel).

I got both of them for less than $250, just got tired of renting at the range, decided I wanted to own something. My best friends father is Retired INS, his partner is still active, and they give me all the free ammo I want. My bedroom closet has boxes of .38, .357, and .22 rounds. Guns were fun for a while - but I went back to spending money on my computer and on vacations. Of course that was back when I had roommates to share rent with, and I had more money. Now, the little bit of money I have goes into my car.

Funny thing, the last time I cleaned my revolver, I decided I didn't want to fire it for a while because I did such a nice job. That was like a year ago, haven't fired it since. They sit in their locked cases. Just take them out and clean them about once every 6 months.

I keep promising myself a Sig P226, but I'm sure it will be a while until I buy another gun. I don't really need them, and I have no intentions of ever going hunting.

Damn, I've shot an HK MP5 "Navy" when qualifying for my annual with the sheriff's dept, but not a tricked out bastard like that one... Sheesh... We need to meet up at the range in Byram and go shooting! Hell, I live ~2 miles from there... I can also shoot at Pearl P.D.'s range, and the training range out at Whitfield if need be. I usually go at least once a week. I went last week to JPD's range and shot with an old buddy there. I made $20 shooting against the Range Sgt. too. ;)

Here's a thread that I started a while ago about firearms and such... http://www.protege5.com/vbb230/showthread.php?s=&threadid=10567&highlight=firearm

Info:

Special Purpose Limited Penetration (SPLP), Blended Metal technology munitions all share the same performance characteristics, from the diminutive .32 ACP to the .308 Winchester. This segment of the product line consistently demonstrates the ability to defeat barriers, soft and hard, without the over-penetration manifest by current jacketed lead bullets. In each level of SPLP munitions you will receive the highest level of incapacitation probability possible for the caliber platform selected. In many comparative tests SPLP munitions have out performed next larger caliber platforms, when compared against jacketed lead bullets. In all cases, when employing SPLP munitions the heavier the platform the higher the increased response capabilities with respect to more difficult barriers and delivering greater impact energy on targets.

The employment of SPLP Blended Metal technology munitions will yield superior performances in the following areas:

1. Reduced fiscal liability footprinting from unintended over-penetration of primary targets.
2. Dramatic decrease in over-penetration probability threats to both duty and civilian personnel.
3. Decreased penetration liabilities through common urban environment construction materials.
4. Increase perimeter projectile containment with the application of lethal force bullet designs.
5. Positive community relation protocols for selecting a limited penetration munition.
6. Greater latitude for tactical response rules of engagement.
7. Reduced hard surface ricochet performance.
8. Higher first shot incapacitation probability, elevating the patrol officer and SWAT teams safety and response capabilities in high threat calls.
9. Ability to "ramp up" to increased threat continuum using heavier platform ammunitions without increasing potential for unacceptable probability of over-penetration liability.
