i am new here, performed a search but couldn't find the answers i was looking for (sorry if i'm beating a dead horse)

have any msp owners in ontario had their ecu flashed, frt/rear bushings replaced? did this get covered under warranty? did the dealership give you any problems?

I brought mine in cuase i heard the front squeaking, (b4 i became a member here) but by the time i got to the dealer the bushings were warm and did not make a noise, so they did nothing. Now i'm hearing the dreaded trunk clunk.

Should i go in and demand they change out the bushings, should i call Mazda Canada?

give me your input, thanks

I've had my rear bushings changed to the E type bushings, and i've had the flash done. I went to Gyro Mazda in Toronto for both.
Check out the thread titled "Clunk Updates" in the MP3 forums, and search for "ECU flash" as well.

I don't know why they are giving you such a hassle. I took mine to my dealer and they ordered the bushings for the front and the rear(to fix the clunk supposedly). They also ordered me a new alarm module cause mine was going nuts. I wouldn't know why there would be a difference between NC and canada when it comes to warranty work. Cus you know they make a killing off of it

just ell them you want bushings 156E and you want your ECU flashed. It's under warrenty, so they have to do it, otherwise, go to another dealer, they will do it.

No, that's only the rear part #. You shouldn't need part nums anyway -- that's the dealer's job.

I bought my car in Ottawa, Ontario - Canada's Capital city, and I had them flash the car, they asked why, I told them it was hesitating, they said they didn't even know of a new flash but would check up on it. An hour later, my car had the newest flash rev. and my alarm brain was changed. NEXT on the list is the god D*MNED BUSHINGS, man I hate the sound it makes, and PLUS the SQUEAK in the front is now above horrendous - it's stupendously-horrendous! <-Mind you it is -30C outside... I guess I would squeak too if I was made to go over bumps frozen to the nuts.

I went to Carling mazda BTW, bought the car there too, THEY STILL HAVE ONE LEFT! And It's the one they let you test drive and beat the hell out of (I know I did :) ). I'm sure it would go for a steal - it's titanium color aswell.

I know the Mecanics at Carling arn't brainiacs - they didn't know my car came with a factory alrm.... but they fixed my mazdaspeed no problems.

i think i will call them to see if they even know about the changes, and tell them i want it flashed and change out the bushings. I am from windsor and it is the only dealer nearby (within an hour or so)

If they still do nothing I will call Mazda Canada. I just don't want them to start charging me for things that they may not think is covered under warrenty.
