Online Poker Tournaments

i am on pokerstars as well, and just caught a bad bad beat. I am holding pocket Q's, and the flop comes 2 2 Q. So I bet about 200, and a guy re-raises me to 400. I go all in with about 2200, he calls, and turns over pocket deuces. Quad 2's against full house, the turn and river didn't help at all. And this was in a 1 table $25 tourney....

Oh..you got worked on that one. That sucks.

well did you raise pre flop? if you didnt then sorry but you sort of deserve that beat for letting him stay in cheap with a bad hand. If you did raise preflop maybe you raised to much and his pot odds were good or he was just an idiot that played a garbage hand. Oh well its players like him that are most profitable in the long run.

no THIS is a bad beat:

Final stages of online multi tourny, first price about 1k dollars. im on par for being top 1-5 easily, though we are two people out of the money. i am at the table as number one position, with the second and third place same table.

i get pocket rockets. im doing raise check raise, and eventually me and someone else are both all-in for about 70k chips (he has me covered by about 3k chips). he shows Q-10 offsuit (who the hell would call 70k chips with a Q10 off?) and the flop is Q-Q-10, with the turn another 10 for good measure. 6 on the river (an Ace here would have been great).

i have a friend who last year was using his winnings to pay his tuition and got a new computer. last i knew he was up ~$20k, i think i heard he lost some of that though. that's probably why it's taking him an extra year to do school though

yup poker is great mod money. I only for a few hours a week and usually turn average 600 a week. It usually about 12 hundred but i get burnt out quickly and have to give it a 2 week break. It sort of becomes my 2nd job sometimes and then starts being a PITA.

I ended up winning a seat to a Tourney on Monday that is a $150 buy in and 20th place pays $1000. First pays $25000.
