It really wouldn't be that dangerous. No more dangerous than the current hydrogen cars they are making. They couldn't explode (Hydrogen cars could and it would be nasty.) Only in the most horrific accidents would you have any possibility of exposure. (And that chance is extremely small.) The truth is they would be awesome cars but cost way too much to build and maintain.
