but you would think it would know how to install the patches...it says it cant find the file so i moved the patch to the raven shield directory, and still gives the same error. something like it cant find the old file.

also, it seems to be like every other rainbox six, which means ill prolly be selling it very soon.

I have it and like it. I can't remember the details about the patches tho as a buddy installed them over the network. As 1st person shooter games go it's better than most which are pretty bogus.

could use some help here people. i just dont like all the planning and whatnot. it detracts from the fluidy of the game.

that's why i didn't like RS...too much planning. One game that was awesome was Global Operations. Choose server, choose side, choose class, pick up weapons and drop in. Wham, bam, thank you ma'am. I preferred the Heavy Gunner. I liked my stoner w/ scope.

Global Operations is a team-based first-person shooter offering a multiplayer experience for up to 24 players, as well as a single-player game with AI-controlled teammates and opponents. Teams consist of real special forces, peacekeepers, terrorists, rebel groups, and guerilla forces. Each of the 28 elite fighting forces in the game is based on the actual combatants in the real-world location being portrayed. Each level has various objectives specific to the map location and loosely based on actual events taking place in international locations like Peru and Sri Lanka.

Players are able to choose from seven player specialties, including reconnaissance, sniper, demolitions, and heavy weapons. Each soldier has unique skills and weaponry, but is able to use any found weapons, even if it falls outside their specialization. Every weapon has been modeled after digital images of real guns with sounds that are based on the recordings of actual weapons. The game also features a complex ballistics system that takes into account material density, hardness, wall thickness, bullet caliber, player movement-based accuracy, and ricochets.

But that has little to do with helping you... :(

hmm that video card is not listed on their site, also what about updating directx and video card drivers? i had the same problem with splinter cell

wait that general protection is the same thing i got when not using a compatible video card....

damn...umm let me search some more. maybe using a no cd crack will get it to work? but from what i remember with tom clancy games is that errors are usually caused byt the video card

lol are you downloading the right patch? double check the version numbers and everything. Hope you get it to work. Best shooter of the year right there.
