shoulda gone ATi! Like me! never have any problems with my 9500pro. Runs fast a hell and it was only 195 bucks. If you realy want to play you can, format, bios flash, and fresh install. lol or just call ubisoft 2morrow. sorry dude ive never seen anything like that and it runs flawlessly on my comp.

I tried everything drivers dx9 changing settings down to low. I even started over clocking bot my pro and gforce card. nothing seemen to make a difference. Then i found it, it only took me 3 days. I took out one stick of 256mg ram. POW!!!! That was it!!! I am now in the middle of trying different sticks that i have laying around here. i hope this helps you loke it did me. It seems that you have to have 2 perfectly matched sticks or you get this.

i have only one stick of ram...would changing the latency from 2.5 to 3 or vise versa work?

Try this out in your RavenShield.ini file;
[D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice]
HighDetailActors=True
UsePrecaching=True
UseTrilinear=True
AdapterNumber=-1
ReduceMouseLag=False
UseTripleBuffering=False
UseHardwareTL=True
UseHardwareVS=True
UseCubemaps=False
UseCompressedLightmaps=True
MaxPixelShaderVersion=255
UseVSync=False

The key I believe is the "usecubemaps=False" by default it is set to True.

might just have what u need this has helped a few ppl as u can c by the thnx at the bottom lol So far this has been working ok for me! In your RavenShield.ini file which is located C:\Program Files\Red Storm Entertainment\RavenShield\system folder. Open it up with wordpad and scroll down to find;[D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice]
HighDetailActors=True
UsePrecaching=True
UseTrilinear=True
AdapterNumber=-1
ReduceMouseLag=False
UseTripleBuffering=False
UseHardwareTL=True
UseHardwareVS=True
UseCubemaps=False
UseCompressedLightmaps=True
MaxPixelShaderVersion=255
UseVSync=False

I think the key is the line "Usecubemaps=False", by default it is set to True. Since I did this no crashes... Also, change your
[Engine.GameEngine]
CacheSizeMegs=128
UseSound=True
ServerActors=IpDrv.UdpBeacon
ServerPackages=GamePlay
ServerPackages=R6Abstract
ServerPackages=R6Engine
ServerPackages=R6Characters
ServerPackages=R6GameService
ServerPackages=R6Game
ServerPackages=R61stWeapons
ServerPackages=R6Weapons
ServerPackages=R6WeaponGadgets
ServerPackages=R63rdWeapons

Change that "CacheSizeMegs" to whatever amount ofvram your video card has... Default this line reads "32".

As well in your User.ini file (C:\Program Files\Red Storm Entertainment\RavenShield\Save\Profiles) change this line to read " ShowRefreshRates=True". Now in the options menu in the game (graphics) you can pick your refreshrate that you want to you ingame as well!

no luck on the cubemaps..i also just tried plugging in my old 4x ati radeon 7000 and got the blue screen of death.
