Ok lets do it.... whats the best sounding muffler?

I drive a 2.3 liter. Just had the exhaust shop delete the first muffler and bend a pipe for me so now its 2 cats, a resi, and just rear muffler.

High flow cat will come down the road. I'm keeping the resi cuz I have 2 kids and don't want the drone.

My question is... what muffler should I replace with for the rear? Borla? Magnaflow?

Obviously I'm looking for a very low, rumbly, throaty, burpy,non-rattly sound.

I see these mufflers on ebay that are a 'TWIN LOOP' design... anyone experienced these in person? They promise to be super quiet and low tone, yet high flow.

Magnaflow is a great low tone exhaust and another couple of exhausts to look at are two cat-back systems from Vibrant and Corksports 'Power Series' system.

I absolutley love the sound of my HKS Hi-Power it does not drone in the cabin and is truly only "Loud" when you want it to be. Its very easy to drive under the radar for lack of better words

i Have the tsudo fireball header back exhaust and i love it. not too loud until you get on it, and it has a nice deep rumble.

Couldn't agree more with this statement. The 3 best sounding exhausts on the 3 period. And I've heard every brand in person too. Magnaflow and corksport are deeper toned, the vibrant is more midrange with zero drone. I know magnaflow and vibrant make their own mufflers, not sure what corksport uses.

P.S. - Vibrants comes included with a tiny hi flow cat, so you wouldn't have to get one later.

Anyone have a link to the Vibrant cat-back? Nothing comes up when I search for Mazda parts on their website.

They discontinued production about a year ago cause no one buys aftermarket parts for our cars. You can still find quite a few new one's floating around online that haven't sold yet. Google or ebay search for them.

I had a cherrybomb glass pack on my previous 3. It really sounded good! And very cheap. It has a nice quiet smooth deep tone while accelerating normally, but it really opens up to a deep throaty growl while on full throttle. The best part about it is you cant even notice it while your cruising on the highway. Very good muffler for the price. But if your looking for something that will give you a little more hp gain id go with magnaflow.
