i have a oil smell and smoke coming from my motor after a little bit of running . I know i have a small leak from the oil return line . Once i fix it what can i use to get all of the oil off my motor so i dont smell it any more ????

Carb cleaner. Or just let it burn off. If it doesn't all burn off after a 30-40min drive the oil leak might be pretty bad

ok great , i tried using brake cleaner but i dont think it worked LOL and btw the leak is really small only because i dont have a oil gasket on the oil return line

Get that gasket bro. It will continue to burn. Your gonna also wanna check the oil pressure on your feed line. The oil pressure shouldn't exceed 50-60psi. Turbo doesn't require to much oil pressure. 35-40psi is about all you need at full boost with a 25psi min

Leaking oil out the bottom is better than not getting oil in there at all. But a small drop of oil does create a lot of smoke. Mine use to leak often too. Everytime after letting the car sit for awhile the oil would build up on my downpipe and after 15minutes of driving the smoke screen would kick in for about another 15minutes.

aww s*** , and a gasket makes a huge differecnce i take it . The top or ( oil feed ) does not leak , it leaks from the oil return line to the oil pan

Mine leaks about two drops overnight on to my driveway (same problem return line) But I think mine is oil pressure related. If I don't let the car warm up my oil pressure is really high. Someday I'll get my return line, gasket, oil pan tap redone.

get a gasket on there. and don't worry about pressure on an oil drain line, as there shouldn't be any.

hmm... if you were referring to me about oil pressure i never said check the return line... but it still wouldn't hurt to check cuz if there is pressure there is a serious problem

get a gasket LV... the smoke if from the oil burning as it drips onto your downpipe or whatever its falling on thats hot

Pressure wash the area that was oil fouled. Brake cleaner will get most of the oil residue off and pressurized water will get the rest. I used that method after fixing a leak in my return line. No more smell or leak.

Just letting you know as of right now the only place to get a oil return line gasket is the dealership luckly they are only 5-7 $ haha

I guess you guys must drive the piss out of your cars. I have 28k miles and no leaks anywhere whatsoever. Or is it because of your mods?
