You should be able to put a tee right where the oil pressure sending unit goes in by the oil filter.

now if i get the electric sending unit type of oil gauge i don't have to worry about oil actually going inside my car right?

If it's hooked up well you won't have to worry but yes you are in fact correct. It will just leak all over the ground... :)

but then the pressure will go down and i will know! lol ignore that. another question where should i tap power for the gauge?

Ignition so the indicator goes off when the car does.

Yeah, just tap into your cigarette lighter circuit.
You'll also have to tap into the headlight/running light/dash light circuit for the light inside the gauge.

Install a tee (1/8) in were the oem oil pressure sending unit is then with a 1/8" nipple flare installed to the tee use a -3, or -4 12" ss. braided line to go to the Auto Meter sending unit and remotely mount. Then install the oem sending unit on the other open end of the tee, that way you can retain the factor oil light signal. All you would need after that is power and ground and to run a wire from the Auto Meter sending unit to the gage.

The reason to remotely mount the sending unit is to take the weight off the tee fitting that has been installed on the block to prevent it from breaking from vibration and weight. My .02

Weight? Ha

Whatever. Take the OEM sender and thow it in the Trash Bin.

Screw the Aftermarket sender in the Motor. Done...

Just an option pal, we install all our turbo kits with oil pressure gages that way for the simple reason that the end user will not really see the needle as readley as a light...
