Oil Leak

I have been finding random drops of oil from my CX-7 on my garage floor. At first it was just after a long drive but now it doesn't seem to have any pattern. I mentioned it last time I had my oil changed and they said it was from an old o-ring. My thought was....after 10,000 miles? But, they changed it but I still have the same problem. I also wondered if it was from getting the oil changed but it isn't any worse right after an oil change. Totally random other than it is alway just one little drop.

Any ideas?

Yes.

1. If you have an AWD, it might be the transfer case.

2. If your dealer is less-than-tidy, it might be leftover oil that got loose when they removed the filter.

Ask your dealer to put some dye in the engine oil, then put some cardboard under the -7. Take the cardboard in next time so that they can check for the dye in the spots. That's what I did, and that's how the dealer determined that I had a transfer case leak.
