Oil Change?

How often you guys change your engine oil....and how much is our oil filter(either dealer price or from auto store)? thx alot~!

2500-3000 miles, I guess the mazda oil filter is around $5? But I use VIC oil filters.

Whats the part number we need to use for the filters? The usualy jiffy lube that I go to for my oil changes cant do them anymore due to the fact that my car is too low lol. Im gonna have to get down and dirty with my car in the morning

Mazda oil filter part # is B6Y1-14-302-9A. I went to jiffy lube once because I didn't have time to do my oil change. After two weeks of the oil change, the oil filter broke and oil came out from the filter...

I change mine every 5k. I use a full synthetic so that gives me a bit more time between changes and dont drive my car hard very often and also drive in a very clean climate.

Jeg...you could prolly goto like Autozone or Pepboys or you local autoparts store and you can as them which is right for your car...they usually have a database of that stuff.

I had never really considered a K&N oil filter. I only knew of them really for air filters...

How are they for oil? Is it worth my while to pick one up?

-STP S6607
-FRAM SPIN ON TYPE PH6607
-BOSCH 3300
-MOBIL M1-108
-K&N HP-1008

I tried the K&N once, the K&N and the OEM one do the same

Yeah, I always ask for a 626 V6 filter. Not only more capacity, but more filter surface area

Not really sure, but it's a little less than twice the height of the normal FSDE filter. I usually just put 4 full quarts in.

i used to change the oil before 3,000 miles, now that my car just decides to burn oil I just add oil every * single day pretty much. So I havent got an oil change in about 4 - almost 5,000 miles. but my car has been burning that oil for a long time. No problems.

hell yea, car runs perfect never had a problem, and car while racing runs perfect, that equals no problems for me.
