oil again

Just me again,
two questions sorta
1. i realise that under hard driving, oil had been blowing from under my oil cap i changed it and now have a new one still leaking under hard driving. and as mentioned before in another thread, excessive oil coming out the breather hose. i also noticed what looked like traces of oil apparently seeping from a coupler on my custom IC piping. incidentally there is no air leak in the piping. Is it normal that so much apparent pressure is generated under the valve cover that can force so much oil out both the oil cap and through the breather hose at the same time or is it possible that i might have a small compression leak somewhere

2. MSP is stock except for the custom FMIC with Greddy RS BOV and the Greddy e manage blue. i want to do a engine rebuild with forged internals. what would you recommend in terms of parts i.e. pistons(compression), rods, bearings etc. I am aiming for at least 250hp
thanks

holy you asked a lot, For starters the oil seapage could be one or more of many things, I'll list them:

1. Turbo seals have gone and is leaking oil into your charge piping
2. Blown head gasket resulting in compression leaking into oil/coolant, forcing it out other fun spots.
3. Bad valve cover gasket resulting in leakage
4. something messed up with your oil cap (crack etc).

If you bought the car with mods or someone who altered the boost too much or even just drove it hard to the ground I'd say your head gasket was hating life and blew. Or maybe you did the above.

Good news is if you're going with forged internals you can easily replace all that stuff at the same time, like you have to anyway. Turbo is known to go bad get a better one.

There is a lot of debate about internals. Personally I'd want 9:1 wiseco or arias pistons with .020 overbore with Pauter or eagle rods. For only 250WHP you shouldnt have to worry much about head work or tranny. I recommend you get some adjustable cam gears though because tuners can pick you up a good 25HP or more in the midrange messing with those. I highly recomend.

Thanks a lot for the info. i was wondering if maybe i had a broken compression ring Anyway i will do some looking around for the best prices on parts i need and start my build. Any other input would be appreciated
